Publisher Digerati and developer Caiysware have confirmed that Straimium Immortaly will be coming to the Switch eShop on Christmas day.
The follow-up to Caiysware's Skelly Selest, Straimium Immortaly boasts loot, upgrades, bosses, weapons and a procedurally-generated landscape – all rendered in a psychedelic, pixel-heavy art style.
Developer Anthony Case had this to say about the game:
With Straimium Immortaly I wanted to create a love letter to classic games of yore but with a modern roguelike twist. Combining NES shoot-em-ups like Sector Z and Gradius with Metroid sci-fi spaceship exploration, big boss battles, oodles of unlocks, and the modern procedural generation magic that keeps gameplay fresh.
Straimium Immortaly hits the Switch eShop on 25th December. Will you be downloading this on Christmas day?

This looks really cool! Skelly Selest was a pretty solid roguelite too.
Any word on the price? It looks cool enough to try.
Day 1, of course.
looks pretty good, then i read........ROGUELIKE. Nah, Nope, Never sick to the back teeth with this crap.
So, like Baraduke?
Great idea and looks fun.
Why is this rated M for mature for "Drugs". I don't understand why a developer would do that to a game like this. I mean it looks "trippy", but is there really strong drug content and theming to this and is it worth limiting sales? Huh.
Did somebody say 'love letter'? Auto-skip enabled and deployed.
@aaronsullivan If I had to guess, the story involves somebody tripping, which is kind of lazy writing but makes sense.
For some reason I feel this would be better as a first person spaceship shooter, rather than a shmup.
Procedurally generated rogue-like is an instant turn off.
I've had this recommended to me on Steam for a long time and gonna be honest, that awful font and garish color choices for the thumbnail completely turned me off
I used to not like the idea of a roguelite until I actually tried one (SteamWorld Dig 1) and didn't even think about it at the time. Now I love them.
