Luigi's Mansion 3 was unable to top the Japanese and UK charts, being outperformed by Persona 5 Royal, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Death Stranding and FIFA 20. Despite this, it still managed to become the fastest-selling physical Switch game of 2019 in the UK, surpassing The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.
Over in the United States, the Nintendo exclusive has performed much the same. According to NPD Video Game Industry Analyst Mat Piscatella, Luigi's Mansion 3 was the third best-selling game during the month of October within this region, behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and The Outer Worlds.
Piscatella went onto explain how Luigi's latest outing was also October's best-selling Switch title and most of all – set a new launch month sales record for the Luigi's Mansion series. While no exact sales figures were provided, Mat revealed the previous best-selling entry in the series was the original Luigi's Mansion game.

A friend of mine gifted this game to me just this evening and I’m absolutely thrilled with it. It is charming and polished beyond description.

Hell yea, Cyber Sleuth is so good. Luigi's Mansion 3 just plain rocks though. If you have the time and cash, I'd highly recommend it.
Awesome. First Luigi's Mansion game I've played and I love it. Right now my pick for Game of the Year. Happy to see it selling well and hope Nintendo can push another entry in the series out the door for Switch at some point.
@Agramonte I find it worth noting then, that Witcher 3 was the 8th best-selling Switch game of the month according to this same group, beating out Super Mario Maker 2 and New Super Mario Bros U. Deluxe. That's not saying much seeing as how those games came out in June and January respectively, but it made the top ten nonetheless.

Exactly. And People who are fans of Western RPGs did not grow up playing them on handheld... that is not a thing like jRPGs. You have a home console or PC by this point.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is a great game. I'm glad to hear it's selling so well. I bought 2 copies so I did my part lol.
My girl and I played the story in co-op all Halloween weekend. It was so much fun 😊
Not surprised cause the install base of the switch being so much higher than the original Luigis mansion and the fact that that game was not the game people wanted when it came out. People wanted a Mario platformer for the Gamecube launch and got a Luigi adventure instead.
I got my copy two days ago and haven’t had time to play much yet unfortunately.
@Nin10outof10 This sort of thing doesn't seem to be that uncommon. When Crash N. Sane Trilogy launched on the PS4 on the last day of June, 2017, it outperformed all other software on that month.
I have got my copy but have had no time to play it until this upcoming Sunday, really looking forward to finally playing this after all the hype and good reviews!!
Well deserved, it’s a great game even among a very strong September/October for the system. Ring Fit, Witcher 3 and Overwatch are also in the Switch Top 10 which is good to see.
Some comments above are way out of touch. Being able to play a game like Witcher3 on a portable console is unbelievable and I for one am loving it. Drawing some subjective arbitrary and imaginary line to decide whether a game should be released or not based on perceived “quality” is complete BS. Everyone has a different view on what defines “quality”. The switcher3 for me IS quality and I’m so happy to have it on Switch.
Oh and LM3 is also charming quality of the highest order IMO. Hopefully these sales green light LM4 development.
