A brand new trailer has arrived for The Outer Worlds, Private Division and Obsidian Entertainment's latest sci-fi RPG.

The video gives us a closer look at life in the Halcyon colony, from its bustling communities on Terra 2 to the dangerous frontiers on Monarch. You'll spot exotic wildlife, devastating weapons, and a host of unpredictable characters on your adventure, which should go a little something like this:

"Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable."

We first heard that The Outer Worlds was headed to Switch in July, when it was revealed that it'll also be coming to other platforms on 25th October. No release date was confirmed for Switch at the time, and we're still no closer to knowing when it'll arrive now. Hopefully a release date reveal isn't too far away.
