A release date for upcoming platformer Jet Kave Adventure has finally jumped, smashed, and swung its way into our grateful arms. You'll be able to get your hands on the game from 17th September.
Said to be full of "skill-based action, challenging boss fights, clever secrets and thrilling set-pieces", Jet Kave Adventure takes a welcome dollop of Donkey Kong Country inspiration and presents it in a fresh, prehistoric fashion. You'll be taking on the role of Kave, ex-chief of your tribe, as you discover a jetpack and head out on a journey to save your beloved island.
Earlier this month, we sat down with the fine folk at game developer 7Levels to chat all about that Donkey Kong inspiration and much more besides. If you'd like to learn more about this one, make sure to check that out here.
The game will be available directly from the eShop for $19.99 / 19.99€.
Will you be jumping on this one when it launches this September? Leap into the comments below and let us know.

sooner than I thought. will pick up if it's no more than £20
Looks cool! Not sure if it's a DK killer, but might come close.
If this was coming in any month but September, I would probably be quite down for this. Much better looking than I expected! Will have to add to wish list and wait for my wallet to recover
@Swindla If it's 19.99 euro than it's safe to assume it will be below 20 pounds
I like this game much more than Yooka-Laylee sequel! I will definitely buy this one.
@Quarth I don't think anything can be a DKC killer. But this can be a fun alternative.
Although personally I think having a weapon and a constant option to fly/hover will make it play quite unlike DKC.
@PlusFan Are you suggesting that I should actually read articles in future ?🤣🙈
This is such a bizarre premise for a platformer, but the game looks pretty fun. I'd pick it up if some publisher would kindly release a physical version for a reasonable price
September is now my least favorite month ever. I feel like I’ll have to take out a second mortgage to keep up with the releases and create a time machine to actually play them all.
It better be a meaty, challenging experience if they're going through so much to report about it.
So if Rocket Knight, and Prehistorik man had a baby that was raised by DKC returns, you get this.
@Swindla it'll be 20 euro so for sure also less than 20gbp.
Looks really horrible. Trying to disguise the fact by included the word Kong in every article.
@Swindla Sounds crazy but can be worth giving a shot
Looks great will be buying
Because it's not like we had many 2D platformers already...
Game looks fun, seem like a nice alternative to the upcoming Yooka-Laylee game which will also be in DKC style as well.
This game looks so awesome but it couldn't come at a worse time. I don't think lll be able to grab this until November/ December unfortunatley. That stinks too because I love the look of it.
Looks promising, although I think that I'll wait for a sale.
Looks like the devs worked hard to polish the experience here. They’ll have my dollars.
@NintendoByNature I think in November we would be busy playing the games that will come out in the next 3 months. So I suppose devs wanted to come out as early as they could, before Ori and so on.
@PlusFan makes sense. I just wish i had more time in the day....and money
I’ll probably get this, but not sure if in September.
Man, that month is crammed full of releases!
But this looks like a fun platformer!
