Are you enjoying playing Dr. Mario World on your smartphone? If you consider yourself to be a bit of a virus-busting addict, then it might interest you to know that on 26th July at 8pm Japanese time, LINE will broadcasting the Dr. Mario World Virus Repel Championship, which sounds like a whole heap of fun to us.
This tournament will be hosted by none other than Japanese comedian Kendo Kobayashi, who has the Dr. Mario likeness down to a tee in the promotional videos below.
In the championship, top Japanese celebrities such as SHUN SHUN CLINIC P, Akina Minami, Naoto Ikeda, Hinako Sano, and Asei and Kosei of Miki will compete to see who is best at defeating those pesky viruses.
Will you be tuning into LINE LIVE to watch this?

Wow, I guess any game can be competitive nowadays.
Celebrity Dr. Mario. Where was this stuff in the 80's?
Came for the very angry person dressed as Doctor Mario. Wasn't disappointed
Pill popping fun?
Uh...what kind and may I join?
I don’t get how it can be a competition if the game consists of premade levels instead of it being randomized like Tetris. Wouldn’t it be easy for those that have played it a bunch of times and know how to beat the levels?
@skyla what is your avatar from? On topic this is badass, love seeing doctor mario get some attention
Lol, this is one hardcore Mario! Our new hero!
