Developer Deadtoast and publisher Devolver Digital have revealed the release date for the upcoming slow-motion carnage that is My Friend Pedro. You'll be able to get your hands on it from 20th June.
To celebrate, a brand new trailer has been released (which you can watch above) and an early discount has been detailed for those eager to put in a pre-order. If you grab the game from the Nintendo eShop early, you'll be able to snag a 15% discount off the usual £17.99 / $19.99 price. Here's a quick description if you'd like to learn more:
My Friend Pedro is a violent ballet about friendship, imagination, and one man’s struggle to obliterate anyone in his path at the behest of a sentient banana. The strategic use of split aiming, slow motion, and the ol’ stylish window breach create one sensational action sequence after another in an explosive battle through the violent underworld.
On a slightly related note, we thought we'd give you a quick insight into the daily routine of working at Nintendo Life. Today, we received a lovingly crafted email from the Devolver Digital folks which simply said the following:
"Hello! If you would like to request a review code for My Friend Pedro, please write your platform preference onto a banana and send a picture to [email address]"
We're not shy here at NL, so off we popped into the office garden. Who said games journalism wasn't super professional?
Never change, Devolver Digital. Never change.

Need As Soon as Possible!
Yes, yes and yes.
Not sure if I'll end up pre-ordering for the discount or just watch listing it till it goes on sale in the future. Most games that Digital Devolver publish are of really good quality so it's probably a relatively safe pre-order but I've just got so much to play in June as it is so I might end up waiting. Looks fun though.
I've been looking forward to this. Time for another addition to my "ascended flash games" collection, hollow knight was getting a bit lonely.
So basically Katana Zero but with guns. SOLD!
Oh yes. I've been waiting so long for this one. Currently playing Katana Zero so satiate my video game bloodlust.
At last!!! I've been waiting for this. I'll be preloading as soon as I'm home!
That's picture is beautifully well made
I really don’t get the appeal for this game. Looks super generic to me. Been done before.
First day buy!
@NintendoFan4Lyf kids need to learn about kicking gibs at people from someplace.
Looking forward to this.
@Giygas_95
i was just about to post it. Word for words
For being the makers of katana blade and the messenger! I'm buying day 1.
Flying gunfights are always a treat, but some reviews needs to enlight us about its tiresomeness
Been waiting ages for this. Will preorder tonight.
So excited!!
Cannot wait to get into this.
I like the look of the gameplay, but I’m not crazy about the art style. It looks really fun though, so maybe it’ll grow on me when I inevitably buy it.
@NintendoFan4Lyf
I came in here to post that after watching the trailer. Game looks fantastic but is way more violent than most M games. It's like a non stop John Wick.
