Nintendo Switch-exclusive racer Gear.Club Unlimited 2 has received an update which takes the game to Version 1.4. Available for free, the update adds several fresh additions.
You can check out a full list of the changes below. Alongside the new features, you'll find a handful of tweaks designed to improve your experience with the game.

16 horns are now available. You will have the choice between the Cucaracha, the Train, the Cavalry and many more!Game changes:
- Race-eligible cars are now displayed in the selection screen before starting a race. Car models available to purchase and improve are also highlighted in this menu.
- The AI trajectory has been revamped, offering a better adaptation to player’s behaviour.
- It is now possible to change your driving style in the "Career" mode (Arcade or Simulation). Swapping between those two will also be possible during the race.
That's not all, though, as three new DLC packs are on the way later this month. All three will be launching on 20th July; two of them are paid, but the first pack will be completely free of charge. Here's what you get:

I still play this all of the time. I’m still bewildered by the original review and the low score. No control lag at all and runs nicely on Switch. It’s not Forza but it will do for me.
@jarvismp Totally agrees with you, i love the game and enjoying it since the release, am not expecting a GT sport quality from the game but it is still fun to play.
Never saw it as an option as it doesn’t have vehicle damage.
This is actually a solid game that has been unfairly reviewed.
Its not a 9 out of 10 game at all but its a solid 7.5 imo.
Now, now folks, don't be so hasty into dismissing our original review. I have the game since release and - THAT WAS THE VERSION WE HAD TO REVIEW - , a broken mess of a game that felt inferior to the original in most every aspect. The game we are playing today is not the game that hit the shelves last year.
@Shiryu so maybe an update in the review is in order?
@Razer Yeah would be great. Becouse if the developers make efforts in the game is good to know. I was avoiding this game becouse of the review, but I loved the first one.
@Razer This is the true challenge of today's video game journalism: Publishers sent us Gold code that is the one hitting the streets and the "ship it now, fix it later" mentality does the rest of the damage. In the past I had to do minor updates to some of my reviews after crucial bits got fixed, bits I had dedicated entire paragraphs explaining why and what was broken and why it affected the final score and overall value of the game. But guess what, it is impossible for any team of any size to revisit past reviews and keep on updating every single game out there because everyone pretty much ships broken games into shops and then spend years working on fixing them. As such re-reviews games sounds like a great idea on paper, but absolutely impossible to pull off in real world conditions (and don't even get me started on publishers asking us to review our reviews once we publish them and they fix what we said was broken...).
@Shiryu at least if you are to make an article highlighting the games newest features, then at least at that stage have a relook at those first reviews.
I understand that you cannot look into and update all the reviews you have written and i wouldn't expect you too, you have a job to do and revisiting old work isn't one of them, understandably so.
But at least at the stage in which you notice the games update and the obvious improvement implemented, maybe at that time revisiting the reviews would be ideal... (basically off the back of this article)
The comment above yours is why it matters alot.
@Erchitu don't avoid, its a great game and better than the first now.
Sorry Gear Club Unlimited 2 you've already lost any chance of a purchase from me.
@BacklogBlues yeah they certainly dropped the ball by not releasing a finished product to begin with but i think unlike big house AAA developers, this wasn't intentional but rather they just made a bad game, which csn and has happened to all developers before.
But because games are ever easier to patch and update now, they fixed their mistakes.
I mean back in the day when a developer released a bad game, that game was just bad and nothing could be done about it.
But today people seem to think that developers intentionally release unfinished products and i believe some big AAA developers do this, but i think it would be unfair to paint all devs with with same brush.
Fairly certain 80% of what we the consumers thinks are unfinished products are just poor development from the developers... not like they intended for it to be unfinished, people do make mistakes and it would be unfair of us to write those people off if they try to rectify those mistakes.
@Shiryu What would you rate it now then?
@DM666 A solid 7/10 but please note I was not the one reviewing the game back in December. Plus GRID Motorsports is around the corner...
I agree with everything you said @Razer. But sadly for them the reason they lost any chance of selling the game to me is because. Between the time the game was released and now i've bought Mario Kart 8 and Fast RMX both at a hefty discount so my needs for a racer have been meet. If they would of released a polished product or given it a discount earlier they would of had my money.
Been tempted to get it, as I enjoyed the first one... but man the reviews scared me! Did they patch it any? Is it fun?
Picked it up at 50% discount a while back, just after 3rd patch was released. It’s fun for what it is and I’ve been enjoying it.
@BacklogBlues both are great games, i own MK8 and I've played FastRMX a few times, but I've always liked my realistic racers, you remember Need For Speed: Most Wanted? Maaan i would kill for a remake of that game on the Switch.
On your point, yeah i do see what you mean.
@Razer based on your comments, you have convinced me to give it a try. As for reviews, updates... I like NL, but I also find that there is a large number of reviewers on Youtube who actually will update their filmed video reviews. Also those guys cover titles which sites like this miss.
I’m 100% with @Shiryu on this one ... you review the game you’re given, not what it may become.
I was annoyed when NL gave a pass to another game (NBA???), stating that an upcoming patch would fix the problems, and so a score was withheld.
@spirit_flame it's a very solid game that fills a huge gaping hole in the Switches library, an actual racing game.
Mario Kart is fun but its more of a fun party game rather than an actual racing game, FastRMX is great but again it really isn't the kind of racing game that scratches that itch.
The only game currently that does that is this game and although it was bad to begin with, it's almost an entirely different game now and defo worth a shot by racing game fans.
@Razer I understand. I love MK8, but I don't look at it as a racing game. Was sorely disappointed with Vrally. Used to love Granturismo 5 on PS.
I’m so glad i just started playing this game last week (bought it on day 1). The game’s an 8/10 for me ☺️
@jarvismp yeah, it's not nearly as bad as some make it out to be.....
Solid game. Could use a longer story mode but its decent
