After Skybound Games CEO Ian Howe mentioned how disappointed he would be if episode three of The Walking Dead: The Final Season wasn't released this year, the company behind the former Telltale project has now revealed the next chapter will launch on 15th January.
This announcement was made during the 'Kinda Funny Video Game Showcase' on Twitch. Here's the official Twitter confirmation along with a new video for the upcoming episode, which is also a bit of a recap of the series so far.
Will you be playing and supporting the release of this game? Have you been anticipating the arrival of this episode? Tell us below.

Well it is the final season. The series has existed for so long that the company that created it is now a zombie itself. Will have to see how it is when it's finished.
I thought seasons 2,3 was supposed to come out this year on switch need an update on that
@Sherlock Probably delayed or cancelled because of the situation with Telltale.
This is a happy ending to a sad situation.
Bummer Kinda Funny got to break the news though, not a fan of that organization.
As long as it comes on Switch I am game.
Only being delayed a few months is not at all bad for a game that had all its developers fired, than rehired by a different company.
Smash Ultimate will pretty much be only game I'm going to play anyways for the next few months but I think I'm ready to play some more Walking Dead on January 15th.
I woke up today and realized something new.
Unless and until seasons 2 and 3 come out on Switch first, I am not touching the final season. However I will get both seasons 2 and 3 day 1 if they do come. Just like I did season 1.
@Sherlock Didn't Skybound say they were coming to the Switch still?
I think it was said that Episode 3 was more or less finished anyway before the Telltale mess started, just stuff like testing and ratings didnt go ahead.
Its probably going to be episode 4 that's going to be the real test and challenge for the new developer to deliver for those itching for a conclusion to the story.
