Upcoming puzzle-adventure game Omno has received a brand new trailer today, alongside the announcement of a new crowdfunding stretch goal which could see the game arrive on Switch.
The game is described as an "atmospheric adventure about a journey of discovery", with players exploring lush forests, a desert, a frigid tundra and more inside an ancient world. Along the way, players can meet and interact with a whole host of creatures (some of which you can see in the trailer above) - we're told that this might even include ridable dinosaurs, instantly grabbing our attention.
Omno features puzzles, platforming sequences, and a whole lot of adventure, and the project has recently found a lot of success on Kickstarter. At the time of writing, the game has received just over €70,000 in funding, smashing its original targets, and is now hoping to land a release on console. To make it to Switch, the game's one-man developer is hoping to generate €95,000 - to be successful, this means backers will need to raise €25,000 in just five days.
It's a big ask, but the game seems to be winning the hearts of those who cast their eyes upon it. You can head on over to the Kickstarter page to find out more or pledge your support, and you can also try it out for yourself with this free online demo.
Are you considering supporting the project? Would you like to see the game make it to Switch? Let us know down below.

While this does look really cool and seems like it's a good fit for Switch, I've said it before and I'll say it again: for every Shovel Knight on Kickstarter you get a dozen Mighty Number 9's. I'll remain cautiously optimistic about this one for now.
Are we seriously not past this Switch stretch goal phase? Time and time again indie studios say that Switch versions outsell about every other platform. Switch should be right up there with Steam on the priority list. If you're an indie and your not putting your game on the Switch, you're missing out. Period.
I felt a Kingdom Hearts 2 vibes there.
The Art Flowing style.
If they release the game on Switch I'll certainly consider buying it if it turns out well but I'm prepared to back it.
Was wondering if they would announce that, definately backing it now, just hope it gets there as I don't have a PC anymore
Maybe I'm missing something, and I'm happy to be corrected on this, but... if the game has hit it's target, is going to be released and becomes a commercial success, then why wouldn't they port it over to Switch anyway? I don't understand these stretch goals... you've got the money you said you needed... now go make it, and then go sell it...!!
@Evenmoresteven you are on point! Switch version should be the priority.
This is a one-man job? Well, it looks beautiful, so hats off to this guy, far as I'm concerned. Hope it comes to all platforms, and hope all his hard work pays off, and the game will become successful enough for him to actually benefit from it, so that it wasn't all for nothing.
The main character seems to be in a bit of trouble in that first screenshot! 😆
@ilikeike Well, that ratio holds for gaming in general, I'd say - not only on Kickstarter.
As for this game: it looks great, but I'm honestly over Kickstarter. There's so much awesome stuff already out that I want to play that donating towards a future project that may or may not happen is just not something in my mind (or in my gaming budget).
Add to that the fact that the Switch is a stretch goal instead of a main platform and this gets a resounding no from me. I'm super open to giving it a go when it releases, though.
Me gustaria jugarlo. Seriously.
Looks pretty interesting.
