Bombing Busters will unleash mayhem on the Switch eShop in both North America and Europe on 8th October. If the name doesn't ring a bell, its former name Bombing Bastards might.
As explained by Sanuk Games' developer diary, the title was originally released on the Wii U eShop four years ago as Bombing Bastards. Although it made it to Nintendo's platform at the time with this name, at the request of Sony the title was then changed to Bombing Busters. It's essentially a cheaper alternative to the likes of Super Bomberman R, with 30 mazes, boss battles, multiplayer and a few of its own differences here and there.
The developer also says it made no attempt to revive the original name for the upcoming Switch eShop release, with the belief the novelty of it has worn off.

Played it on the wii u once. It wasn't very good.
So... it's a discount Bomberman?
Bombing Busters! New Family Friendly name! Good old unadulterated explosion exposition!
Super Bomberman R is on Switch and other consoles, peoples. Nothing to see here...
The soundtrack is public domain remixes, and doesn't fit the mood at all. We played this a few times on Wii U, but always resorted to Starwhal.
I miss Starwhal. That game should come to Switch.
Terrible game
This sounds like a dumpster fire
@Mgene15 Bombing Dumpsters? I haven't played that since High School!
A little late for the name change. After all, it's been almost a year since Miiverse died.
I think it's decent. I've played it on Wii u and PS4. What I really wish for is Super Bomberman, SB 2, and the TG 16 Bomberman games. I know the battle mode now runs at 60 fps, but when Bomberman R launched with Switch I was horrified that they cut the frame rate and introduced input lag to something that worked fine 25 years ago. Same deal with Metroid on 3ds, by the way. How can anyone think it's good to cut a game's frame rate in half while doing a remake/remaster?! Metroid 2(the virtual console Gameboy game) on 3ds is smooth and sharp, especially with the 3d slider pushed all the way up(all the Gameboy games look pretty amazing with the 3ds's slider all the way up, very sharp and clear!)
This is a straight up phone game
I think the single player was a more traditional Bomberman experience than Super Bomberman R was.
List of Bomberman games on Switch so far:
1. Super Bomberman R (Konami)
2. Brawl (QubicGames)
3. Bombing Busters (Sanuk Games)
I guess it's good for those who can't get enough Bomberman-style gameplay. Brawl is 0.99 at the moment.
Played it on my Vita. Once. I think it was free.
