A Nintendo Switch Summer Sale began in Europe last week, discounting a whole selection of games with up to 60% off in some cases. Now, the second portion of the celebration has started, and there are plenty more (and several bigger) cracking discounts for you to get stuck into.
There are lots of highlights once again this time around across both Switch and 3DS, with the likes of Super Bomberman R, Death Squared, Owlboy, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Ever Oasis, Metroid: Samus Returns, and many more. You can see a full list of the discounts across all Nintendo platforms this week in our Nintendo Download (Europe) article, and browse through the Nintendo store itself via the handy link below:
As before, you can access more discounts directly on the Nintendo eShop than via that official link above, so make sure to boot up your console to take advantage of your favourite deals. These offers are all valid until 23rd August.
Let us know if any of the offers take your fancy in the comments below.

Slightly disappointed, the first half of the sale was better...
Digital only, so nothing for me
They've also got Wii U games on sale, which is nice given Wii U is still seeing new games by indies (and a couple 3rd parties- namely the Just Dance series by Ubisoft).
Picked up PixelJunk 2
Everything still looks overpriced...
There's a few good offers, but I think the first half of the Summer Sale was stronger. I would have liked to seen a few more first party titles with discounts if I'm honset.
Crypt of the Necrodancer (60% off) and maybe Danmaku Unlimited 3 or Floor Kids for me.
It's crazy how much better Europe's eshop sales are.
US sale doesn't seem nearly as good.
There are some really good games for sale (Crypt of the Necrodancer, Battle Chef Brigade, etc.) but mostly ones I already own this time. I'll grab Outlast 2 as I grabbed the first one last week but that's about it I think.
As usual nothing for Canada.
@earthinheritor Canada’s not in Europe though...
@nuovian Holy s**t really? It isn't?
Nothing really caught my interest.
Btw. Shouldn’t those kind of news be reported when the sale begins? Instead we got 50 different news about smash bros... A bit annoying considering most of them could be included in 1 bigger article as they were announced at the same time
I bought The Adventure Pals before the last sale ended and started it with my son, pretty insane but really good fun. He played it with my nephew all last night.
Bomb Chicken surprised me with how much I'm enjoying it.
@earthinheritor That was kind of a cruel Joke. But I think it is hilarious!!!
@Kaile It makes more sense to us to have one Smash article but I assume it's more of a business decision.
More articles, more traffic, attention, ads and money
Meanwhile Sony offer the Witcher 3 for little over a tenner in their sale. The eshop is pitiful by comparison.
@darthstuey
What comparison? Witcher 3 has been out two years longer than the Switch. PS4 sales weren’t amazing back in early 2015 either.
Can we ever get a sale that's NOT on the eShop?
@NewAdvent I was just gonna say something about those same 3 games. All great games!
@electrolite77 so do you think we can expect to see Mario Kart 8 on the eshop for £10 next year? I think not. The sales on the Wii U were always a joke and they aren’t much better on the Switch. Although truth be told there has been the odd bargain in the 18 months it’s been around.
Take Gorgoa- 7.99 in the sale. I can get it on my iPad for 4.99.
The problem is that a lot of the shop prices are so high to begin with that when a sale happens, even with 50% off it doesn’t seem great. I picked up two Wolfenstein games for 4 quid each the other month on the ps store and the recently released Mega Man collection was a tenner for both collections.
I’m a Nintendo gamer through and through but I cannot defend their eshop practices.
I almost bought Gorgoa, but saw it cheaper on the iPad, and I'm guessing it works better with touch controls. I know the Switch has touch controls, but then the iPad has a bigger screen.
eShop sales have never impressed me. Very often almost just released games, maybe 4 months after release, can have a 75% discount, and that's a triple-a game. When I see Wizard Legends or whatever it was called at 10% off, I find it insulting. Like that's an incentive for me to buy it. 50% off is a good deal, even 40%, but the problem is that it's 50% off an already relatively cheap game, while 50% off a $60 game has a much bigger impact on my wallet. But it's not like they HAVE to discount the games for us, so I'm happy either way. But I always buy digital games on sale, since I might never be able to play them again 10 years into the future.
