Part of the allure of the FIFA video games is the licensing of real-world clubs and leagues. As EA has already publicised, this season's game will include the UEFA Champions League - the most prestigious club competition in European football.
Now, the latest news to emerge is in regards to a new league that will be represented in FIFA 19. An image has surfaced via a tweet, revealing the Chinese Super League will be included in the upcoming annual release for the first time ever. This announcement was made during a presentation at the 2018 Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong event.
The Chinese League is home to a number of famous players who have in the past been excluded from the FIFA games due to licensing issues. If this is eventually confirmed by EA, between the CSL and the Champions League, this would put the franchise even further ahead of the competition.
FIFA 19 arrives on Switch at the end of September. Will you be picking it up on release? Tell us in the comments.

Yes but instead of kicking the ball, they will be throwing wrenches and construction tools.
So much new content!
Totally justifies a 60 dollar price tag!
If it’s not got the Nags head pub team from my local Sunday league then I’m not interested. I want to play as out of shape booze hounds
Im.sure the desolate online trading will still remain the same
Shame that football in its entirety is a boring, steaming turd that is not worth more than a millisecond of anyone's attention
Chinese league?
Who gives a sh....!
@H_Hunter probably more people give a sh*t about CSL then about your comment. Luckily!
And the best thing is, you don't even need to play it if you are not interested in it! Awesome, right?
Doubt I will get this but I want to see how much better the switch version is. Maybe next year we can truly get the full experience
@H_Hunter
where have you been, there are gearing up to push switch into china, id not be surprised if Nintendo specifically requested they include this. dollar dollar bills yo
@Captain_Gonru i second this, the women's bit was a bit light in FIFA 18 switch. its possibly my most played switch game though.
@Captain_Gonru
I foolishly assumed that the women's equivalent of the UK premiership would be there lol. Maybe one day
I don't really care too much about Fifa anyway.
Well this should boost their sales in China at least.
More and more businesses are opening to China. Hopefully this will improve the lives of Chinese people. On the other hand Chinese businesses are notoriously aggressive and it's the Chinese market that reignited rhino poaching in recent years...
@KingSandyRavage speak for yourself
@KingSandyRavage literally half the world's population watched the World Cup at some point this year...
@WillQuan and they hated every minute of it. Football is so archaic and gotten worse since the 80’s. They need to overhaul the rules and general ethos of the sport as today’s standards are just a joke, watching a slow, uneventful game played out over too long where they generally walk about trying to waste time intentionally or lying and generally acting like the worst role models in existence, desperately seeking a set piece instead of being competitive and just playing the damn game.
FIFA catches the general boredom of football beautifully and makes for an equally boring video game.
@Baker1000 I speak for all fans of football who have sense.
It needs to change as it has become a joke
@KingSandyRavage You really don't. I suggest you watch some 80s football if you think that's true.
The real question is Street Mode included?
@KingSandyRavage 80’s football was slow, less skilled but way more attacking. Football has got progressively more wimpy and pathetic. Point in case, England’s “Star” striker on £300,000 per WEEK spent his entire World Cup campaign diving trying to get penalties and free kicks and is now a joint top scorer for his country with penalties and not competetive open play goals. English football is a total joke and needs fixing. It’s sad watching grown men walking around a pitch and relentlessly falling over in excruciating pain for no reason except to try and cheat a win instead of depending on skill and effort. Appalling example to younger generations
I wish they had brought "the complete experience" for the brazilian league though...
There's plenty of neat young brazilian players at the Brasileirão.
@KingSandyRavage mate last season I watched my team in the 2nd tier beat Man United deservedly at home in order to reach the semi-final of a major cup for the first time since the year I was born. Don't ever try and tell me it's boring.
@KingSandyRavage you think diving is an English game's problem? You have clearly never watched the Spanish, or Italian teams. Less said about Portugal the better. And they're starting to clamp down on it now that VAR is in being used.
@Baker1000 it is eternally boring and a completely flawed and out dated sport.
For the ONE game in 1000’s that’s good. There are 999 total slog of a turd snooze fests
@KingSandyRavage hahahaha ok then. Maybe for the teams you've watched recently. Football outside the prem and internationals is far from 99.9% snooze fests.
@Baker1000 no interest
@Baker1000 its not specific to English football no, but English football has a way more immediate relativity to me being I live there.
The sport is pathetic no matter which country it is being played in. The only draw is that you need a ball. It is THE most accessible sport in the world, you just need space and a ball, that’s why it’s so big, anyone, anywhere regardless of background or wealth can play it anytime.
@KingSandyRavage your favourite sport, then?
@Baker1000 cricket
@KingSandyRavage Say no more. Nice talking to you.
@Baker1000 hahaha, I knew that would be your attitude if I said Cricket.
I follow and have been a massive fan of Ice Hockey for last 30 years.... a proper sport.
This is exciting news, though the addition of LAFC in MLS matters more to me. Just one month to go!
