According to a listing on GameFly, THQ Nordic and Slipgate Studios' ‘90s inspired platform game Rad Rodgers: World One will be making its way across to the Nintendo Switch at some point in the near future.
If you haven’t heard about this title before, it’s a game with plenty of attitude, humour and hardcore platforming fun. What differentiates it from the friendlier competition is its foul-mouthed cast of characters and "radical" weaponry.
The story is about a boy named Rad who is sucked into his television and finds himself starring in his very own video game. Dusty is Rad’s foul-mouthed console friend, who is now a battle-hardened veteran after many years of gaming. The pair must work their way through seven action-packed stages to save the World One's jungle inhabitants and restore the Elder Tree as the guardian of the land.

If this does eventually make its way across to the Switch, would a game like this be of interest to you? Tell us in the comments.

This is the first I've heard of the game and I'm intrigued. A platformer that gets an M for crude humor would be a nice change of pace. That said, I'm not a kid anymore when the crude alone was enough to make me laugh. The foul language will need to be the extra kick to already humorous material in order for it to appeal to my taste.
So it's another Conker's bad fur day?
Definitely looks interesting. Reminds me a bit of Conkers Bad Fur Day but 2d side scrolling insane action.
Judging by the trailer, this game doesn’t break the fourth wall. It obliterates it.
Looks fun.
Am getting heavy Ruff 'n' Tumble vibes from this, if anybody remembers that on the Amiga. I absolutely adored that game. I'm a little worried that the language is going to feel forced, though.
I picked up Rad on Xbox One and though it has some good retro themed tunes along with some decent 2D sprite work on the world map as a teaser, the overall game felt half baked. Especially when you look at the generic 3D in game graphics
Hey. Nothing to do with this, but WINDJAMMERS IS COMING TO SWITCH!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHYYYYAAAAAAASSSSSS
@Ooyah - I actually own it on PC, great game overall. I will confirm the language isn't as forthright as the trailer leads on, but there is a bit of it and at times it feels intentionally forced.
But some of the context of a certain species in the game seems to minimize the concern of language.
Looks good, but the feedback was very mixed on the platforms it has been released on.
This game looks fantastic and by that trailer quite hilarious and fun. Quite looking forward to this one.
This is the latest game from the team that put out Bombshell and the new Ride of the Triad before that, so the 90s over-the-top 'tude is to be expected.
Lots of fun animation going one here, even if the color palette is a little hard on the eyes.
Take away all the "rad" and powered weapons which seem reaaaaally out of place, this would appeal to me.
I think parody content is a pretty dodgy idea at this point with no real gameplay boost to be seen.
There will be some immature gamers out there who will buy this because of the language, thinking its cool, or what ever the word for cool is at the moment.
@Ooyah I thought exactly the same !
*doubled
I guess Rise & Shine was inspired by this? Assuming this came out way before it over a decade ago. Looks sorta fun. If its cheap, I might pick it up Platformers are my kinda deal and this one does seem to have some personality to it. So yeah, if this is real, Im all for it.
Not bad at all. Guess price and reviews will define if it’s a keeper.
Not so sure about the cursing, but the gameplay itself looks intense!
I hope so, game looks fantastic and would fit right in on the Switch
I was expecting a 3D platformer though 🙁
It looks pretty fun to play... And with Conkers Bad Fur day humor?.... Sign me up!
I’ll buy this
@Nincompoop There will never be another Bad Fur Day...
Interesting to see that Nintendo does not censor anything anymore these days.
Trying to break through the kiddy image maybe? Actually a good move.
Heard this game contains some serious sex-related jokes and images.
Never heard of this game before, but it has my interest now.
Demo please. I likes foul mouth, parody related stuff if it's genuinely funny.
Please dont compare with Conker. A rare (no pun intended) case of genuine humour and great imaginative game design.
