Overcooked 2 has managed to make a nice dent in the UK charts in its first week on sale, but there are still no signs of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy moving away from that top spot despite several new releases.
Yes, Crash has kept hold of its number one place in the charts for the seventh week running, with combined platform sales - particularly those of Xbox One and Switch - helping it to do so. Overcooked 2 squeezed itself into an eighth-place position, with the PS4 version narrowly outselling the Switch option.
Elsewhere, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has also remained at number one in the individual formats chart, equating to a fourth-place spot when all format sales are combined. The usual evergreen titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, and Mario Kart 7 are still going strong in the top 40, but the all formats top ten has been relatively quiet on the Nintendo-published game front this week.
Here is that very list in all its glory:
1. (1) Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy
2. (2) LEGO The Incredibles
3. (5) Grand Theft Auto V
4. (3) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
5. (New) Madden NFL 19
6. (6) Call of Duty: WWII
7. (7) God of War
8. (New) Overcooked 2
9. (8) Super Mario Odyssey
10. (New) We Happy Few

crash deserves it still classics after all these years
but I confess I must play crash in docked mode its just abit too fuzzy in handheld
Dark souls is coming 19th October btw NL
Are we sure these sales are accurate? Crash has been the top seller for like 3 months or something. 🤣
Says something about the lack of major releases from any studio since Crash dropped I suppose.
@Hobbesyall You mean, you didn't want to hear about GTA V sitting in the top ten for the gazillionth time before the news of a huge remaster coming to Switch?
Haha, this was just scheduled - we were on the case! 😊
Hahaha, look at Madden!. They really need it on Switch.
The real sale numbers story coming out from last week was MHW crushing it on PC. The Master Race came out in support 😎

@Alikan yeah that’s what I was thinking. Just nothing else major has been released since. Top by default
@ryancraddock
I’m gonna be honest most weeks I can’t tell the top ten’s Apart =P yep I saw u guys were on the case ! Glad the switch is getting DS
When all is said and done, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe could easily be the Switch's best selling game.
Go crash go
I bought Overcooked 2 last Sunday.
Felt quite easier to get 3 Stars.
Pretty sure Mario Kart 8 DX is selling more now than it was at this same time period last year.
The U.K. loves them some bandicoots.
Beat overcooked 2 in a few days with the girlfriend, it was fun but easier than the first overcooked. Happy to see Crash still going strong 😊.
Guess all that will topple the Bandicoot now is the next FIFA. That's next month right?
In the UK, if you owned an original PS1 you almost definitely owned Crash Bandicoot. Nostalgia sells and it's such a great game with varied levels. Naughty Dog at its finest!
What is it with the UK and their Bandicoot?
I've never played a Crash game on any format, but if you had a PlayStation you more than likely have, and three games at a budget price is not to be sniffed at.
I kind of get the feeling Crash in how linear it is is sort of like the equiavlent of 5th gen Super Maro Bros or Donkey Kong Country. Which might explain why it's remakes are doing so well.
Because Mario and DK were only on 3D on the N64 Nintendo kind of left an opening in the market for something like a 2D platformer.
I still don't understand why there's sooooo much love for Crash Bandicoot in the UK lol.
I'd be interested to know how Okami HD is doing on Switch. It's had the top spot in the download-only format charts on the eshop for nearly a week now. That's still a game I'd love to see a sequel for, especially if Capcom handed the reigns to Kamiya again.
Hey look, they put King K rool in the game 😂
Though the Xbox One version has been leading the sales of Crash, the Switch version hasn’t been too far behind and has remained a consistent seller since release. Whatever you think of the game itself, it’s great to a see a (very key) third party release doing so well on the system.
Crash still being on the top of the charts is crazy to me, I have to believe people are buying multiple copies or something at this point.
