Silly Brits.
Ughh....

To be fair 9 of the 20 are available on the switch or (one) coming to the switch.
That's amazing IMHO.
I'm surprised State of Decay 2 is that high considering the game pass system. Don't get how David Cage's guff gets so many sales.
Sucks about HW. You won't find much else that has as much bang for your buck.
Think they are doing well considering they are ports. They were hardly gonna take the sales charts by storm. They are there to fill in the software gaps and give a few extra options.
Pre E3 lull.
Shame UK is not as Nintendo as Europe, USA and Japan..
I'm embarrassed
Stupid brits. I can’t understand why they just don’t buy overpriced ports
Where’s 1-2 switch and labo
Marvel super heroes 2?
I don't know what to say
I just beat tropical freeze for the first time despite also owning on the Wii U. I had a business trip and decided to bring that and Picross S to play. Didn't beat it on the trip, but it did get me into it.
Ermmm what?! this is pretty good. Why the bad press?!! 5 Nintendo 1st party games in top 20 and another 3 games available on Switch, with DS remastered on route. And this is in the preE3 lull. Come on guys this is pretty good. Ninty games are selling in the UK. Ok not all the top sellers are available on Switch but there’s a strong thirst for Switch that’s for sure.
Feels like Nintendo needs E3 to get it's Switch mojo back. Kirby, Labo, Mario tennis and a couple of ports are only going to take you so far with no real news on the horizon. 3 more weeks and the Smash tournament should get the ball rolling.
@rjejr I count 2 weeks. Well actually 13 days now.
Anyway Id have bought Hyrule Warriors at retail and contributed to this chart.
IF IT WAS IN STOCK
@NewAdvent it’s also just been massively discounted which always helps
@YummyHappyPills I’ve found this to be the case quite a lot. Doom, Kirby, Hyrule warriors have all been hard to get around their release dates. Either Nintendo is being conservative with stock after the Wii u or retailers are ordering in smaller numbers down to the same reason
@NewAdvent yeah but that game is simply ok, not even that great, and came out forever ago, yet it's beating Nintendo's own first parties.....
Overwatch was on a discount, so high place doesn't surprise. Detroit is the flavor of the month game and supposedly pretty good. Yeah, it's "mature", but not in a boob-flashing-gore-spewing kind of way. It's a David Cage after all.
But State of Decay 2? Must be brand power, as the game is supposedly riddled with bugs. Like, unplayably so. I wonder how many of those sales will turn into refunds.
@MasterJay it’s been discounted to 20 quid and it’s half term for kids. Easy sell
@Mr_Pepperami I have no idea how much that is, but ok, if it's discounted that makes sense
@Octane I get a feeling you're going to have to remind people about their language soon....
@MasterJay around 25-26 dollars
What old ports were supposed to be doing well the second time around? Wouldn't have put my oar in, but a lot of demeaning comments today. Nintendo can only coast on rereleases for so long before people stop wanting to pay full whack for old hat. Plenty of new, exciting games around...which shows in the sales charts.
Doesnt help that both games arent being sold in a lot of supermarkets, Sainsburys near me has only just put in a Switch section and is only selling games released last year!
@Anti-Matter I'd love to know the Indonesian Switch game sales for the last week.
Not bad for ports though. Nintendo can't realistically expect to endlessly dominate the top 10 solely with ports of 4-year-old games. Noted that Mario Kart 8 is an obvious exception.
@Stocksy why is that amazing exactly?
@Matthew010
Indonesia will NEVER counted as a country which represent a big market in international, since a lot of Indonesian like to use pirated stuffs & jailbreaking.
I felt embarrased to admit it.
Indonesia is also NOT a Nintendoland.
Indonesia is same boring land as UK without xbox presence.
@Anti-Matter Then why do you seem disappointed the games aren't selling as well in the UK as in the US and Japan? You even just said that the UK doesn't buy as much Nintendo!
@Matthew010
I always felt disappointed to see UK sales.
Well you know... like some comments above.
This time I tried to talk less because i knew someone will kick me if i talked too much.
@Anti-Matter but the sales are good. I honestly don’t know how they could be higher than this. The original releases like breath of the wild and odyssey are still in the top 20 well after their releases and all the current games are ports of games from the Wii u so are selling well with that in mind. Honestly think this is the best Nintendo could have hoped for
Neither Detroit nor State of Decay 2 sold as well as I expected, but the new releases and price reductions on older titles were always going to push the major Switch titles down the chart.
2017 France retail sales data for Switch:
Hardware - 911,000
Software - 2,600,000
Vs
2011 France retail sales data for 3DS:
Hardware - 761,000
Software - 1,300,000
@westman98
Very nice stats, and especially considering the price difference between the two.
When are the next big budget switch games due for release?. Look like they need something soon.
do they track digital? cause i mean most people i know buy switch games digital tbh.
@Agent721
Note that digital software sales are unaccounted for, so the Switch's total 2017 software sales in France is probably at 3 million. (The 3DS didn't started receiving digital versions of retail titles until 2012, so its total 2011 software sales in France remains at 1.3 million.)
@westman98
Even better!
I'm interested in both these titles and noticed they were out of stock on Amazon for a period and are still unavailable for immediate prime dispatch. Might have something to do with if there's a widespread stock issue.
