The wonderfully-named developer Henchman & Goon is bringing an unusual new title to the Switch eShop, in the form of co-op puzzle game, Pode. Taking inspiration from Norwegian art and culture, it tells the story of a lonesome rock who wants to help a fallen star find his way home.
Bulder and Glo (those names - s'cute!) will use their unique and complementary powers to bring life back to the sleepy caverns of Mount Fjellheim. The developer has been keen to build something that reinforces positive actions and co-operation, and if the chill soundtrack and relaxing atmosphere is anything to by, this indie gem is going to have us in a happy, Zen-like state in no time. Its due to wander onto the Switch eShop this Spring.
What do you make of Pode? Is it charming or a little too sedate? Share your thoughts below...

The Messenger and this are the only nindies from the direct that interest me a little bit. But I don't think I'll get them.
Might get this one
Maybe in coop. Solo campaign looks a bit boring. Wait for the review.
Looks wonderful. I can't wait for this, Messenger, Just Shapes & Beats, and Pool Mania if it controls well!
Well, their land's called "Mountain Mountain Home," soo this is probably a winner.
It's like pikmin, but Norwegian. Good.
I’ll wait to hear and see more, but so far looks like a game I’d probably eventually get. One of three indies that got me interested.
This was probably my favorite announcement from the Nindies Showcase; it seems like the perfect game for my girlfriend and I to play to destress
"it tells the story of a lonesome rock who wants to help a fallen star find his way home."
Sounds like a make believe game Elmo and Zoe would play.
The game I'm most likely to get out of the ND.
Doesn’t look very Norwegian to me and I’m Norwegian...
@Phle Came to say this. I'm Norwegian and I don't recognize anything relating to Norwegian art or culture.
Art and culture of Norway? I didn't hear any A-ha music in the game.
Any pseudo-dyslexics out there seeing the word 'pedo'?
Reminds me of the alternate lyrics I mentally superimpose over this dumb Coldplay song I hear at work all the time to make it humorous and therefore prevent me from going insane.
"Living in a pedo, pedo, paradise.."
I always get a chuckle from that one. Sounds like they're talking about Epstein's private island.
I love artsy indies so this is for me.
Could be fun.
