It’s been well publicised how the current host of The Tonight Show is a big fan of Nintendo. Every year E3 rolls around, Jimmy Fallon often gets Reggie and his crew on so he can try out the latest Nintendo systems and games.
We have also heard stories in the past about how he missed out on a chance to date the Australian star, Nicole Kidman. All because he seemingly “wasn’t interested” – instead opting to laze around his apartment and play Mario Bros.
Given his history with Nintendo, it’s no surprise he’s been sent a free copy of Super Mario Odyssey for the Switch. In the video below he explores New Donk City whilst making a few jokes and taking in the sights and sounds.
Let us know in the comments if you’re having as much fun as Jimmy is playing Super Mario Odyssey.

Glad he's happy but I don't like him much.
Okay...
I wonder if the T-Rex was in Deep Slumber.
Cannot imagine if Mario woke up that huge T-Rex.
it's a good time to be alive!
Got an email saying my copy won't get to me until Saturday. "Nooooooooo!"😣 Oh well, back to Culdcept Revolt.
Also, Nicole Kidman is pretty hot. I think I would put down a controller for a couple hours to go on a date with her. 😍
Love his enthusiasm while playing.
And even watching Mario Odyssey is big fun, can't wait to put my hands on it🎮: Today!😃
I despise the man, so no. I will not watch Weasel Fallon play Mario.
Went to the midnight launch, played for six hours and finally went to bed. Not even 10am but I'm awake again and want to get back on it. This game is gonna kill me
Nicole Kidman is old enough to be his mother. 👵🏻
Why does no one like jimmy Fallon , did I miss something?
Hate this tool bag but happy the game is getting praised.
@Kalmaro Why?
@Voldemort807 I do not appreciate his humor at all. That's pretty much it.
I like Jimmy Fallon...
Stopped watching after about 90 seconds though due to spoilers
@Docx360 I was wondering the same thing. I like Jimmy.
I like Fallon as well. If nothing else, his enthusiasm for Nintendo means great exposure.
He’s not very good, though...
Love Fallon, and love the fact he showcases Nintendo so much. My kind of guy
@Kalmaro A person is more than his or her humor, so to say you don't like someone based upon that single aspect is rather short-sighted, and that's putting it VERY mildly.
Yeah, he likes to do goofy stuff, and I can respect that not everybody likes his type of comedy, because we all have different tastes, but still.
Jimmy Fallon is actually one of the most genuine, kind-hearted, involved persons that you'll ever meet, or in your case: never meet...
@ThanosReXXX A person is certainly more than thier humor. However, he is in his current position as a talks how host primarily because of his humor. It may not be the only facet of him but it is the only one portrayed.
Sadly, I just don't find him funny, and since that is all that is shown I have little reason to like him. If he did another show where he focused on more than trying to be funny I'd probably appreciate him more.
@Kalmaro Well, besides me actually liking his humor, I could also separately appreciate his genuine enthusiasm for Nintendo. It shows every time when he is surprised with or playing with something from Nintendo, and that is something that he shares with most of us.
That's the way I look at it at least. Another example that might help illustrate that further: I absolutely HATE everything that has to do with Scientology, but even though both Tom Cruise and John Travolta are both hand puppets of said organization, I still like and appreciate most of their movies, because they are good in their own right.
Food for thought, maybe...
What is up with some people that pronounce "Mario", "Mae-rio".
Drives me up a wall. Huge pet-peeve.
@ThanosReXXX I understand your point, I don't agree with all of it but I can see where you're coming from.
@Kalmaro That's fair enough, I wasn't looking for 100% agreement. Middle ground is a nice result.
@ThanosReXXX perhaps one day I'll be able to see another side to him. I wouldn't mind liking him more.
Wow he's playing with those cappy joy cons
@Docx360 his years of terrible snl acting.
Wow, so much butthurt. Didn't know people were held at gunpoint and forced to watch him. Sad.
Jimmy Fallon is just a family friendly version of conan
People on NL are so nice!
Eh. Happened with Zelda before as well. Though I'm happy a Late Night host is interested in Nintendo I'd rather have Conan play it in his Clueless Gamer series. Neither BotW nor Odyssey were there. So far only ARMS was featured in the aforementioned segment. Here's hoping Nintendo does something about that.
It's real great that Nintendo is getting their exposure on late night shows. Super Mario odyssey is a delight and very fun to play. Nintendo has two games I would consider game of the year.
