Well, Nintendo of Europe rolled out its traditional sizzle reel for Nintendo Direct, though rather than being an eShop-only effort it aimed to show off third party games in general.
Admittedly the first minute is a mix of retail and download games that are rather familiar and old news, but then it gets into a run of eShop games; that's where it's a bit more interesting. There's not much that's brand new, but Super Meat Boy is included along with some other titles that are less known or had gone off the radar. Pinball Arcade is shown after that release had been dormant for quite some time, and there are some really promising titles due in the 'near future'.
Check it out below and let us know which games catch your eye.

There's a bunch of stuff that looks cool. Here comes a nice flow of things.
So that's where SMB's been hiding.
@Captain_Gonru Good question.
Heh, sounds like stuff can't be truly appreciated till it's not there. Saying that, bring in the 3rd party sizzle reels back NOA.
There's a game on there, the one in that top pic, that looks A BIT like the SNES Star Fox remake I actually want to see in 2016 but sadly never will.
I honestly wish I had just a bit more of a clue, because I'd go off a basically make it myself using Unity or something if I was a slightly more clued-in as to how to go about doing so.
It could be something genuinely special, and the original SNES Arwing model in full 1080p HD, 60fps, alongside the original Corneria tune, shows the potential there imo.
@Captain_Gonru I know...it's almost as if Nintendo of America doesn't even care about the indies anymore despite them making up the vast majority of their third party support...
sigh Why does 3ds gets all the best games? That Lovely Planet game does spark my interest though.
@Neko_Ichigofan Heh, I don't think those knds of things are THAT easy to decipher.
i'm disappointed that when we get stability updates, we get stability jokes, but nobody wants to make a sizzle joke.
@Captain_Gonru they might get their own direct, for all we know. there will be a capcom monster hunter 'direct' tomorrow so maybe after that.
Glad to see TPA on there! Surprised, since I seem to recall Farsight saying it was only coming to NA soon... Well, better for everyone I guess! I assume that explains why Tadpole Treble wasn't on there, as I don't know if that's coming to Europe soon or not.
@Jamotello That reel was so sizzling, pigs around the world are twitching their snouts in fear.
I had no idea Pinball Arcade was coming,my mate's always spoke highly of it.I've sunk so many hours into Zen's Epic Quest and Sorcerers Lair.
Hive Jump?? What´s that?? I want it!!
Nothing on that reel spiked my interest, bar Lego Starwars (but that will depend on the game content as its only the one film).
My money's is now being saved for 2017 as I think my investment in the WiiU has finally dried up.
@Kirk that game is from a developer calle MixedBag. They are already developing forza.8 For Wii U, a game that was also in the E3 demos but isn't out yet. I wonder what happened to it? And why did they announce a porting of Futuridium? Both games are pretty old by the time they'll be released, so I don't really understand why it takes so long.. Anyway you can find a free version of this game, Futuridium, for PC and Mac on their website.
Wait, they showed off Pinball Arcade? Did they give a release date?
North America is apparently getting The Pinball Arcade "very soon."
I'm hoping it's fairly current and has the new physics engine across the board, but not even iOS has that yet, so might be a bit much to hope for.
Let me add to the 'Hallelujahs' for Pinball Arcade's return. Though I wish it was on New 3DS. LOVE that "turn upside-down and play on bottom screen" feature from Hall of Fame. Hoping against hope they get around to putting out that retail package they mentioned at the very least.
Hooray for Hollow Knight!
I seriously have to try Azure Striker Gunvolt now. It looks awesome! How did I miss it for so long!?
Noitu Love: Devolution and Futuridium EP Deluxe looked cool too, but I need to look in to them more before I make any decisions on those.
