North American Nintendo fans may be over the moon about the fact that the smaller New 3DS console - the one with the collectable cover plates - is finally coming to the US, but over in Japan they've got through quite a few special editions of the customisable handheld system already - and there's another being added to the list.
Sanrio and Nintendo have just announced that a new special Hello Kitty New Nintendo 3DS bundle is on its way. Expected to cost around 17000 Yen not including tax (approx £93 / $140 / 127 Euros), this should prove irresistible to any self-respecting Kitty fan (that's basically everybody, right?).
Of course, the chances of this bundle ever leaving Japan are slim, but if you're really keen then you could always import one.

Do I have to hate myself for wanting to get this cover? I think it will fit well next to my Kerri Pamepami covers. Never to be used but kept.

Cute but nothing interests me below a New 3DS XL.
If they ever sell the cover plates separately, I'll snap those up. If not... looks like I'm getting a Japanese New3DS.

Doesn't PAL region Nintendo 3DS owners have the option to purchase Hello Kitty HOME Menu themes though? It is very likely this will get released outside Japan.

Too many bows for my liking. Plus that thing isn't even a cat! It's a girl who was born in London. I am not making this up,

@RadioShadow It was obvious to me that Hello Kitty is merely a cosplayer who loves cats.
My daughter is a big fan of Hello Kitty but she has a NewXL and a Hello Kitty case to put it and games in, and it looks better than these cover plates.
