Nintendo UK has confirmed the dates and locations of its 2015 Summer Tour, where it will show off its latest games to hordes of shoppers up and down the country.
The tour kicks off on 12th August and runs until 13th September. Forthcoming titles like Super Mario Makerand Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash will rub shoulders with existing hits such as Mario Kart 8 and Yoshi's Woolly World, and fans will also get the chance have a photo taken with a massive Piranha Plant statue - which is worth attending for alone, if you ask us.
Those who turn up will also get the chance to bag special Mario-themed goodies like hats, moustaches and a limited edition Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary pin. New amiibo figures will also be on display, presumably under armed guard lest any overzealous collectors make off with them.
Here are the venues:
- 12th - 17th August - Manchester Arndale
- 20 - 24th August - Intu Derby
- 27th - 31st August - Westfield London
- 5 - 6th September - Intu Metrocentre, Tyne and Wear
- 12th - 13th September - Intu Braehead, Glasgow
Will you be popping along to check out the games, take some photos and possibly win some swag?

Is it true about the Mario pin that you'll have to have bought a piece of Mario merchandise the month before?
If only for the Mario Maker, I am definitely attending this one
I do enjoy a good pin. I am there
As cool as it would be, I can't really trek down to London just for that considering all the games releasing in the last months of the year.
Wow, what am incredibly extensive tour that really covers the whole of the UK...
Lol near who? Nothing in the south except London, nowhere in Wales, nothing in the east, nothing in Ireland. Alright if you live near Manchester or Newcastle I guess.
@Baker1000 Don't feel bad, Canadians get the same treatment as it is like nothing exists east of Montreal in Quebec.
Not near me! Come to Northern Ireland... please?! Lol
Nope, none near me. It's too far for me to journey.
Why not Meadowhall??
None near me.
Will visit Manchester for sure!
@NintendoLee That seems harsh, no Mario games have been released lately!
@andyg1971 I read somewhere else that:
People are eligible to receive a Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary pin upon production of an original receipt or other proof of purchase for any official Mario-related Nintendo product (video game, game system or item of merchandise) purchased between 12th August and 13th September 2015. One pin per receipt, while stocks last.
Yes, I get toplay Mario Maker between the 20th-24th of August in Derby. Intu Derby is literally a 10 minute Drive from my house, so I am obviously estatic. Anybody else going to the Derby One?
Only 5 locations? I guess the UK marketing budget is all gone...
@chardir Doing it in these 5 locatio s is still more marketing of the Wii U than they have done since the Wii U's launch.
Great but which Westfield?
@Mogster I was wondering the same thing.. I'm hoping it's Stratford, but I have no idea. Nothing on the website...
@Mogster Aha! I found something on this website saying that its the Westfield London on Ariel Way. Here's the site:

I swear I'm loving this game just for the construction Mario/jumpman images.
I'm peeved that it isn't coming to Nottingham, but I suppose Derby isn't too much of a trek......
Nice, I will attend the one in the Arndale!
I live in Bristol but will be visiting friends in Manchester that weekend so guess what I'll be dragging them to?!
i live nearby London so maybe i might got there
@DEAD and beside i can just take 3 buses and would take about 1 hour to 2 hour! lol
I got really excited then, until I read the list of venues. No Birmingham Bullring?! Insane. Derby it is then.
That's less of a tour & more of a stoll. Business the Nintendo way - if you're sales aren't doing great, cut money to your marketing.
