SteamWorld Heist is heading to the 3DS this Fall with a release on Wii U and other platforms to follow, and Image & Form's latest is sure to be one of the eShop's big ticket releases in the remainder of this year.
Our chums at Image & Form have kindly provided us with 6 new screenshots of the game which can be seen below. If you scan the corresponding QR codes you can view them in 3D.
In the screenshots you can see a fiendish new enemy type known as The Royalists. They excel in military tactics and have a lot of tricks up their sleeves. Rumour has it they have weapons with bullet-reflecting shields.
The other screenshots show a Scrapper battle, a still from one of the game's many narrated cutscenes as well as the bridge of the ship the player controls in the game.
Lastly the ever-talented team over at Image & Form have announced the winners of the bar naming contest over on their blog.
What do you think of the way this game is shaping up so far? As always, let us know with a comment below.

I've never really played a 2D SRPG before. This sounds like a neat concept and I can't wait to try it out!
I'll definitely be trying this game out! I love how Image & Form never settles for one type of game! They are always trying to expand their arsenal of genres and create new fun experiences. It helps that I love the art style they have going for this game too.
