Citizens of Earth is a quirky RPG with origins on Kickstarter, though a failed campaign was saved when Atlus stepped in to publish Eden Industries' project. With a promise of a lengthy campaign and classics such as EarthBound cited as influences, there are high hopes for this one.
It'll be a little longer before we take on the role of Vice President of the World, however, as Atlus has now confirmed another delay to release. Already pushed back to November, it's now been given a firm release date of 20th January 2015; it'll arrive on the Wii U and 3DS eShop, with the confirmed US price of $14.99 now joined by a European cost of €11.99. Bringing the game to five platforms — the others are PC, PS4 and Vita — has been cited as a cause for this — hopefully — final delay.
Let us know whether Citizens of Earth is on your wishlist for early 2015, or whether you think this delay's damaged the Vice President's approval ratings.

That's OK, we need games confirmed for the dead months of January and February. Might get more of a spotlight.
Again? Ugh fine i can wait.
No problem for me. This year is already ridiculously packed anyway.
Its a perfect time for it to release. I should be finishing up Capt Toad and Pokemon around then.
I don't mind, a lot of stuff is releasing this year anyways so it'll be great having this game release around a month where nothing much is being released.
now if we can get donkey kong land/country 1-3 in dec. or jan.
the month of donkey kong
so much you will go bananas
I would be mad but I'm so into Fantasy Life I don't care. I should be ready for it by then.
It's an RPG I will get sometime in 2015, looks really good.
Sucks it was delayed, as I'm getting it... but we have no shortage of games right now to play.
Oh well, I was busy anyway. Still going to get it
Really people? Surely the only reason to delay at this point and miss Christmas is that the game has serious problems. To delay twice...
No one in the Western world gives up Christmas shopping season.
I was originally interested in this title but the continued delays have put me off.
Disappointing. Maybe now I can pick up some more VC games...still not getting Pier Solar until this comes out, btw.
So no one is noticing that, despite the delay, Atlus is releasing a game in NA and Europe the same day?
Been kind of strange as I've not played a good rpg since South Park was released. This has been on my radar for a while, no problems with the delay. We are normally used to much worse treatment, here in the EU.
@sinalefa - Shocking right! let's hope this sets a way forward for other future releases.
Ooh, they didn't straight up swap the $ for €, that's always nice to see.
Passing big time cause there are major problems with this game. First it was to come out in SEPT-OCT and they made up some excuss to release it in NOV at the same time people was going to be out voting. Then the day before it hits they go O We found some little minor bugs and we are pushing it back but It will be out by the end of month. Now 2 days later they go O now we are pushing it back till JAN 2015. The real vicitms are the people who back this on kickstarter and are out the cash. I say it never sees the light of day until summer 2015 or later
I think this was smart. I actually would have pushed it even further back to March and spent the extra time to make it perfect. Atlus isn't the biggest company but they can afford to wait until later when there's less competition and less games to choose from. But this is just my opinion.
Good move too many games. I think they could have pushed this to march .
@dkxcalibur That's not an opinion, that's business logic. But according to the internet, clearly businesses don't know what they're doing, not rushing this game out the door just to release in a crowded time period where 5 big-time games just came out and plenty more are on the way...
Good after christmas ~
Delayed because of development, or to release during a less crowed schedule? If it came out know it would be overshadowed and largely forgotten, either way this looks like it'll be son fun.
@River3636
what good games There is almost nothing coming out on the VITA nor 3DS In Dec or after
I'll be picking it up. I love the concept. Although that voice-acting from the trailer... * cringe *
My RPG backlog is kinda huge right now, I'm too hooked on Fantasy Life for me to try to slog through it D:
Unless I finish all of my backlog by then, I doubt I'll pick it up for a while anyway.
