Update:
Below is a new trailer for the Western version of this movie.
Original Article:
As we've reported previously, Pokémon XY The Movie - The Cocoon of Destruction & Diancie is coming to Japan on 19th July, the latest in a long line of animated films for the franchise. The Pokémon Company International has now announced the inevitable arrival of the movie in the West in 2014, confirming that it's now available for license.
Called Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction in its translated form, we suspect there'll be plenty of TV stations and broadcasters from multiple countries queuing up for the rights. In its press release announcing the move The Pokémon Company International highlights the various broadcast deals that have recently come into force in various countries, including content on streaming services such as Hulu and Netflix.
The press release also provides a neat summary of some of the extraordinary sales numbers of the franchise, including current 3DS titles Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.
A leading children’s entertainment franchise, Pokémon features a wide array of offerings including video games, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, animation, and various licensed products. Pokémon X and Pokémon Y recently became the fastest-selling video games for the Nintendo 3DS system, selling nearly 12 million copies worldwide since their October 2013 launch and adding to the more than 245 million Pokémon video games sold to date. With more than 20 billion Pokémon TCG cards shipped globally and animation licensed for broadcast in more than 160 countries and in more than 30 languages, Pokémon is a long-standing hit among fans around the world.
We'll no doubt learn of broadcast dates for the new movie in the coming months, but in the meantime below is the rather dramatic trailer recently released in Japan.

So.... Still no English trailer?
Also, I find the idea of the short "Pikachu what are these keys" stupid
Funny, my kid was just asking about this last night. Please let us know if you find out any US info, I'm not one to import anything.
Oh, and I'm very glad they changed the title to something that makes sense in English.
so we should expect it sometime later this year..... maybe it'll come with the Darkrai event too
Does this mean a Diancie mystery gift?
@AyeHaley
Hopefully! I'm getting mystery gift withdrawals. The Magmar and Electabuzz promotion is seriously making me consider buying a 2DS and Y for trade evolution purposes... Pokemon is the reason I never make it more than half way through other games
@Fandabidozi Yeah I don't get why we haven't gotten any gift/event pokemon beside Torchic and Magmar/Electrabuzz...
Hehe IKR, me and my sis play X and Y so much I haven't had the chance to finish most of my 3DS/Wii U games. We've almost finished the national dex so I would love a Pokemon Z or Ruby/Sapphire remake this year...Maybe X2 and Y2? They'd have to include a lot of new stuff for me to buy a sapphire remake day 1...
Do you need to bring your 3DS with you to get the Magmar and Electrabuzz codes? (I thought they were codes like those target(?) gar chomp codes bundled with the games at launch)
Anyway, any pokemon I still need to complete XY is a great gift in my opinion. I can't wait to get that 2nd gift from the Professor. (not going to spoil it if you don't know what it is already)
I'm still upset that the original promotion for this movie had a lot more Mega Pokemon than the movie ended up actually having. Gardevoir was almost in a movie.

Just too bad that the art style they used for the XY anime is absolutely horrible.
I haven't watched Pokemon since I was little, but I've been getting into it again recently with XY :3 The new director made Satoshi a little more mature and a slightly more complex character imo. If they could, finally, show Satoshi's father, that would be pretty cool XD
Also, Pokemon Centers where giving out sticker sets to promote the movie last time I was there ;-P
