There are also two tracks from the SaGa series — "Sewers" (FMS) from Romancing SaGa and "Four Demon Nobles Battle 1" (BMS) from Romancing SaGa 3. These will be paid-for DLC and not included in the standard game.
What do you think of this selection? Did your favourite make it in, or are you now hoping it'll show up as DLC? Let us know in the comments section below.

Awesome! I haven't played many of the "modern" Final Fantasy's aside from VIII and IX but it seems like the tracks I wanted from those two are on the list. Fingers crossed for a North American release for later this year!
This separation between 'classic' and 'modern' seems pretty arbitrary to me.
Where's "You're not alone" from IX?
Stop teasing me with all these new tracks!!! With all this content being announced I just want a date already dammit!
@Expa0 in day-1 dlc
although tbh the original "You're not alone" isn't half as good as its arrangment from the Piano Collections
also, THAT'S A LOT OF MUZIK, i hope they get looped too
@MarkMcColtney according to a the japanese site, quite a few of the songs from the first game are getting extended, the stages will be longer.
This list of couse doesnt include DLC. And spin-offs havent been announced yet. So much music
Classic FFs: most of the good ones from NES, SNES, PS1 and PS2.
"Modern" FFs: the crappy ones like the whole FF13 "Lightning saga".
Tracklist looks very good.
Where is Tactics? Come on Square.
I'm glad there's more FFVIII tracks.
Well, even if I'm not a fan of the direction of FF lately, it's nice to see representation of modern FF games on a Nintendo console. Hopefully this opens doors for Nintendo and Square Enix in the future. I'm not expecting a full fledged FF to appear on a Nintendo any time soon, but some major release on the Wii U would be nice.
None of my favourite tracks are in the list though. They include "Starting Up", "The Landing", "Timber Owls" and "Martial Law".
@PrincessEevee9 like i said, its coming, possibly in a third wave of announcements. Most of the tracks from the spin-offs havent been announced.
All of those tracks are roughly equal in quantity to all of the first game sans DLC. Really packed this time!
@Mahe i havent played most of the newer ones, but i think they have some great music. Battle for Freedom from FFXII and Blades Edge and the amazing Fighting Fate from XIII are some of my favorites.
@edhe The Landing. Forever forgotten. Never an arrangment, never mentioned again. Only original exists. :<
@Tsuchinoko I hope so at least.
@Mahe VIII-XII were good I've here. Played a couple of them and they were fine. Haven't touched XIII or XIV yet though.
Thats whats been said in previous announcements. The first reveal was the first up to VII, the second was VIII to XIV. The only DLC that has been announced so far are the Romancing Saga songs. Just wait for the spin-off stuff to be revealed
Festival of the hunt, Force your way and Dalmasca Estersand are all pretty awesome tracks. FFXII was very underrated...
I knew about the SaGa tracks from a few weeks ago. Did not realise they were DLC. I knew it having no DLC was going to turn out too good to be true.
As for other non-FF stuff. While SaGa can be considered a sister series (hence its inclusion) I would like some Mana or Chrono tracks (these are more cousin series, I know).
@Starwolf_UK the original had over 70 tracks. This one has 221 tracks BEFORE DLC. Thats a huge amount. At this point DLC could only make it better. I think since the Romancing Saga tracks are recent reveals, other stuff, like Mana isn't impossible
@Tsuchinoko You're wasting your breath, he won't listen.
Blinded by Light and Saber's Edge made it in so i'm good. I hope for DLC we get the theme of Dragon Quest and Chrono trigger.
Wow, all of these are included in the cartridge? That's a ton!
All I need is a release date... I just need a release date!! XD
No vamo alla flamenco?
