We don't know what's going on here

Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW! is being released very soon according to D3Publisher. It's the follow up to the equally bizarrely named Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?!, which was on 3DS and DS.

This time round Finn, Jake, Marceline, Cinnamon Bun and the rest of the gang will be embarking on Wii U and 3DS, but we've not seen much of what the handheld version will look like since it was announced.

Well, D3Publisher has now showcased a set of screenshots for the upcoming releases and we've positioned them below. Some are from the Wii U version, while the split screen ones are naturally from the 3DS adaptation.

It features four player co-operative mode, as you can see in the images, and is based on a completely new storyline that uses the voices of the show’s most popular characters. Beemo is an exclusive interactive character who resides on the touch screen and he provides funny little hints and game commentary to guide players through the mysterious dungeons.
