Zelda: Ocarina of Time amiibo support has been revealed ahead of its November release date.

Unlocks so far revolve around two new amiibo that are (eventually) coming to the Switch 2 remake - for Young Link and Young Zelda - with each having their own exclusive unlocks.

Here's what the two Ocarina of Time Switch 2 amiibo unlock, and everything we know (and don't know) about wider amiibo functionality.

Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Supported amiibo On Switch 2

The two confirmed Zelda: Ocarina of Time amiibo are as follows:

• Young Link (Zelda: Ocarina of Time 2026)
• Young Zelda (Zelda: Ocarina of Time 2026)

With both amiibo not arriving until 2027, it's very possible other Zelda amiibo might also be supported to keep us busy. If so, our best guess is they would offer repeatable resources like rupees and arrows, akin to how amiibo support works across Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - but we'll only know more closer to the game's launch.

The two amiibo will each have a specific function - unlocking a retro-themed mask for each character. What these actually do is so far unconfirmed, but it's possible they could be entirely cosmetic.

What We Don't Know About The Zelda: Ocarina Of Time amiibo Support

There are a few unknowns with Zelda: Ocarina of Time amiibo support, including:

• The complete function of these masks - aside from giving Link a Nintendo 64 visual touch, of course.
• How to scan these amiibo. Will they be simply in the settings menu? On the file select? Somewhere in-game, similar to the shopkeepers who transfer your rupees to the Zelda Notes app?
• As mentioned, whether other Zelda amiibo can be scanned and offer rewards (unique or otherwise).
• And finally, for the new amiibo themselves, the exact release date (all we know is they're arriving 2027), their pricing, and when you can pre-order.
