Review Fantasy Zone II (Virtual Console / Master System)
Does Opa-Opa's second adventure feature the same unique charm of the original?
The original Fantasy Zone release kicked off a series of shooters that's still quite popular to this day. When the game was released on the Sega Master System, it immediately became one of the more beloved titles for the console so it was pretty much a given that a sequel...

Nintendo Download Fantasies, Fishing, Warfare, Reversi and Sudoku (US)
NoA's sudden WiiWare push continues, with yet another 3 WiiWare games and 1 game for both DSiWare and Virtual Console.
Nintendo seems to be focusing on WiiWare a lot lately. Perhaps they're just trying to stir up excitement for upcoming big releases? It mostly seems to be a Europe catchup week - Only two WiiWare games are new for the west and...
Nintendo Download Fantasy Zone II, Rainbow Islands and More Magic (EU)
Two hits and one miss this week!
All the signs were pointing to a new Hanabi Festival starting today - Nintendo of Europe did not reveal today's new games in advance (Unlike the past two weeks) which lead us to believe there'd be something big. On top of that, it's "Golden Week" in Japan at the moment, a national holiday! How much longer...
News The OFLC Rates Even More Games
Yes, the OFLC has rated yet another batch of VC games today!
The least surprising of the bunch is Fantasy Zone II. It was already released in Japan in January, so a release elsewhere was to be expected any time, really! That's not all for the Master System though - Secret Command (Which Japan has had since June last year!) and the first Shinobi are...
News Japanese Virtual Console list - January 2009
After a somewhat lackluster December, Nintendo of Japan has decided to start the new year with a rather good month. Aside from one of the most wanted N64 games, the general theme seems to be sequels - There's a lot of them planned for January!
The full schedule is as follows: Famicom: Tantei Jinguji Saburo Kikena Faturi (January 6th) Getsu Fuuma...
About The Game
Ten years have elapsed since Opa-Opa restored peace to the Fantasy Zone.
Now history is repeating itself, and the planets that make up the Fantasy Zone once again find themselves attacked by the mastermind of the Nenon planet forces. This mastermind is secretly constructing a huge fortress in the Fantasy Zone and aims to put an end to their ambitious plans. Just as he did 10 years ago, Opa-Opa must do battle to save the Fantasy Zone.

The graphics look very good for a Master System game. I almost though that it was a Genesis game at first sight!
I didn't even know about this one! Looks like a ton of fun too! Too bad I still have to get the original, as well as Super.
Those sure are some purty graphics for an MS game. Love the first FZ, and plan to buy Super, so I'm putting this one on my list too.
I have the first Fantasy Zone and Super Fantasy Zone. They both really good and should not be overlooked. I am sure this game will be cool as well.
I liked the first one but something tells me the second one is more of the same
I never get tired of the Fantasy Zone games. Although Super Fantasy Zone is still my favorite, this one is pretty solid. I wish they would bring Fantasy Zone Gear to the VC at some point.
Yes please! Nostalgic memories are all over this one for me. Can't wait.
I got this last week on VC. Don't miss it. It's a classic.
