I don't see myself paying full price for it. It looks way too much like NSMB, and it looks way too multiplayer driven. If it offers a nice single player mode, I'll consider it. But the levels will have to be big and plain, so there can be 4 players running. Peach should have been playable instead of one of the Toads, and it'd have a SMB2-ish feel.
The lack of online support in this title was probably a deal breaker for me... I have too many titles on my "to buy" list this year and this one is probably the first to go... It's rare I have three other gamers all in the same place willing to work on the same title.
The Koopa Kids are (probably) back! As a huge anti-fan of Bowser Jr, this is splendid news. The Koopa Kids had much more personality, and I enjoyed the more varied boss battles, especially in Mario World. It's not confirmed, but this is touted as being Mario World inspired, and that picture is undeniably Morton, I'd say.
I don't like him because he took the place of the Koopalings, of course. Also, he's more generic and has an annoying voice (though if you want real annoying voices, listen to the Koopalings in the SMB3 TV show... horrendous).

Bowser Jr.'s voice sounds good when compared to some of the 4Kids Sonic voices, they are horrible!
@SuperSonic1990 Yes, but those don't sound nearly as bad as the Sonic the Hedgehog anime from the 90's... The English translation sounds like Sonic has a sinus infection with marbles stuffed up his nose!
I'm with RM88 on this one. I hope it has a good single-player experience, because I'm not much into playing video games with other people. I'm far too selfish.

Many seem to be worried about this, but I can´t see any risks. We´ve been playing Super Mario Bros games singleplayer for 20+ years. Why should it fail to entertain for a lone-wolf player just because you finally can play co-op? Nintendo will surely deliver great leveldesign to keep us plattform-fans happy.
as much as I love online play, local co-op actually works fine...still have a crew that gets together every weekend for a couple nights and games our asses off, so this is a perfect addition to our lineup....Mame games, Blast Works, Dokapon Kingdom, and now a Mario game! God bless 4-player co-op.
If you don't know anyone, you have problems greater than the lack of online play in a Mario game.
I find that very insulting, and that was not needed. I do know people, but they live far from me, so don't go jumping to conclusions I just seclude myself from society.
It wasn't an insult. If you take it that way, though, so be it. It was a serious concern, though maybe a bit of an old man's fear.
Also, I knew what you meant prior to the bolded edit of your previous message. I wasn't twisting your words for the sake of a joke, though I would certainly understand why you'd think that, coming from me.
