It will prompt you to move them all to SD once it's nearly full, and then it will crash. Well mine did anyway, but with no negative effect as far as i know.

I powered up the Wii and it said something like... "the wii message board is nearly full, would you like to move data to the sd card" I don't know if it moved msgs or pics or both, but they are all still there, and i have ALOT of pics and msgs in there. As to whether you can do it manually, I'd get googlin' if I were you.

@SKTTR: I thought it was just my stoopid Wii. We'll put that down to coincidence yeah, but if one more person reports it, it seems it may be an issue. UPDATE!

My Wii had to move all my Wii Message Board messages to the SD Card. It took about 15-20 minutes, but it was sucessful and my Wii did not crash.

I didn't realise they could fill up; I thought it just automatically cleared out the old ones!

Hmm good to know, I always wondered as to what happens when it full, thanks.

Around how many messages until you're prompted to move them?

What does everyone here like doing/posting on their Wii Message Boards anyway?! I'm curious & wondering to know!

I practically use it it every day; for I use it to post what I did for the day... be it play a game, eat, watch tv/movies, something with the family & their work!
Also I post all of my favorite Pokemon Snap pictures to my Message Board & pretty them up with fun little messages; mostly if it's an occasion like if it's a holiday. Or if a game I like/want to have comes out! Or if I've seen a movie I wanted to see that came out for the month! Or just for fun and the heck of it!

Wait, are we talking about something that's part of the Photo Channel or the thing that you get messages through?

@Sean: Both. Any pictures you receive or send in letters get saved on the message board, but are accessed through the photo channel. Hope I'm not stating the obvious there.

@TheCrow: I wasn't going to admit to all my Pokemon Snap photo's (i like to spam people with them, ha), but I've yet to 'pretty one up', bless ya.

If you have lots of pictures attached, and voice messages from the Wii Speak channel, of course the Wii Message Board will be full soon enough. After transfering it to SD card, all the transfered stuff on the Wii Message Board have a little SD Card logo on them.

Thanks I hadn't noticed that. Gonna go flick through my messages now.
