Donkey Kong (NES): A once awesome game cut down to 3 stages and the last two suck. Ice Climbers (NES): This has to be the worst game I've ever gotten on the VC. The gameplay is frustrating as hell and every level feels almost the same, except now it's more frustrating. Alex Kidd (SMS): It's a good game, yes, but again, it's far too difficult for me to ever want to go back to. I'll admit, I suck at platformers, but even after 10 consecutive Game overs, I still can't make it halfway through the first stage. Even Super Mario Bros. 2 wasn't this hard. River City Ransom (NES): It's a great game, but Beat 'em ups just aren't my thing, and I got bored with it very quickly, never wanting to start it up again.
I like Mystical Ninja. but its more fun when you have a friend
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
Kirby`s Dream Land 3 (SNES)- Once I bought Super Star on VC, I realised how mediocre KDL3 really was. Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES)- Truly overrated to say the least. Repetetive, boring, gameplay that not even co-op can cure. Music makes my ears bleed, and the controls are decent. Mega Man (NES)- Just like everyone says it is. Craptasticly, crappy.
Okay, I'm exaggerating. Brawl is the most overrated game of time
I just felt like Mystical Ninja is maybe the first game in history to suffer from the "2nd refrigerator." Too many shops and minigames. Too many enemies constantly flying around the screen when I'm just trying to buy some pizza or something. I can't deny the game has charm, but the gameplay was too manic to enjoy. I was mostly disappointed because I used to drool over the game in issues of Nintendo Power when I was a kid. It definitely wasn't as cool as my 7 year old self had imagined.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors is repetitive, yes, but the point was to see how far you can get with your limited amount of resources. It was kinda like Resident Evil where you really had to be careful because you never know when you'll get to a tough spot and run out of something you really need. There are also a bunch secrets to find and exploit. I'm not telling ya to like it, but it sounds to me like you didn't go in with the right mindset.
As for Mega Man, it lacks polish, but I wouldn't say it's all that crappy. That's just me, I doubt I could change your mind at all in that regard.
And Kirby's Dreamland 3 is mediocre. I'm sorry it took you so long to realize that.

So what you're saying is you didn't enjoy it because it wasn't what you expected and it was much too difficult? I can relate to that. I almost put down Alien Soldier for the same reason. Plus, I found Mystic Ninja too hard as well, but like JumpMad said, if you got a friend, it's not nearly as hard, and much easier to enjoy. Good luck finding someone to play it with, though. oh well, at least if you hadn't gotten it, you'd still have that part of you drooling over it.
I would have to say final fantasy. I wanted to get start playing the FF series so I started with the first one, but the only problem for me is I have no idea what to do. I've used walkthroughs but I can't pull myself together to play the game.
Where are you? There are usually hints throughout the game that tell you where to go, and more often than not, where you can go is where you should go.

Mega Man 3- There's WAAAAY too much slowdown, the level design's cheap, and the music gets kinda monotinous. I suggest playing MM4 instead
I share your sentiments, and that's why MM3 is not one of my favorites. However, with that said, the levels in MM4 can be kind of cheap, too.
Landstalker: Tried it once and will never touch it again. I don't want to waste my life on such crap.
It really is a love it or hate it game. With that said, I hate it. A lot. The controls are rediculously frustrating to use, and I'm constantly killing myself. I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't. Good thing it was my PlaySega free game so I didn't waste any money on it.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors is the 90`s Left 4 Dead... only difference is that Valve can make games. Plus even if I played it the "right" way, the music is so annoying I don`t even want to play it any more.
Haha yeah I`m a huge Kirby fanboy but once I got to play Super Star (my favorite game in the franchise), I was like "Wow... never again". lol
Just for you. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." - Freddie Mercury
i respect Wild Guns and i see why folks like it, but this just wasnt for me, i kept thinking about other games while playing it. i also deleted the Splatterhouse series and the Golden Axe series as well. i dunno

As @ogo79 said, the SNS-RZ-USA is a prime giveaway that it's not a legit retail cart.
And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
Space Harrier 2 no surprise there, right? I got it because Space Harrier was my absolute favorite SMS game, and at the time the original wasn't on the VC yet. The Genesis sequel SUCKS.
Wario's Woods boring. lame. got it for my ex-girlfriend. that pretty much sums it up.
DoReMi Fantasy Not my thing. Don't know why I bought it.
Super Street Fighter 2 I already had Hyper Fighting. I didn't need this game. I must've been drunk and in a "I LOOOVE STREET FIGHTER!!" kind of mood.

And that's what I mean, it's not Left4Dead at all. It's nothing like it. I guess that changes nothing now, but seriously Dude, look into a game before you buy it. Even reading the game description, I can't see how you could've come to that conclusion. Either that or I've been playing Left4Dead wrong this entire time.
