Topic: How Do You Arrange Your VC Games/Channels?

Kind of a silly topic, but I thought it would be a nice change of pace from the usual "where's this game? where's that game?" posts.

I tend to keep my VC channels in alphabetical order and not worry so much about which system the game is for. But I also always try to keep a particular series together, so say for example with Castlevania, I'll arrange 1-4 together, but also stick Rondo of Blood right after Super Castlevania 4 since that's the proper order of the series I also include WiiWare titles in this arrangement if applicable, so of course Castlevania The Adventure Rebirth goes right next to Rondo. I also have New Adventure Island for the TG16 along side Adventure Island for the NES even though that's not truly alphabetical. I find this makes the most sense to me and makes everything easy to find.

So how do you guys go about it? Do you arrange games in the same fashion I do, do you arrange them by whatever system their for, do you not even bother at all and just leave them in whatever order they're in when you downloaded them? Please share, I'd like to hear your methods.

I go Nintendo Wiiware games first, then other publishers for wiiware. VC: Nintendo consoles in order, sega, then neo geo. Demos go last.

I do it all by release of system. For VC I go from NES to N64 and then Wiiware after that. For wiiware, I don't organize unless they are a series (sbcg4ap for example) but usually, it is all by purchase date for single titles. The demos are last. I have filled 5 pages on my SD card channel, and my wii channel is blank save for applications like the browser, check mii out, and such like that. No, I do not use the check mii out channel, but since the SD update, it does not take up any more (significant) space, so it is no bother to have it there.

Hasn't there already been a forum on this? I could be mistaken, but I think so.

I keep mine for, say, families of games: all Super Mario games together, then the Zelda games, and then the RPG games (Final Fantasy, Secret of Mana, Ogre Battle, etc), all from NES and SNES; on the other side, I keep the heavy games in the SD card (N64 games, the FF Crystal Chronicles downloadable games, etc.)

Kind of simple, I think...

Sounds similar to my method, although I don't ever categorize by genre. I also keep all of my games on an SD card. I think it becomes more troublesome and confusing if you spread games out between the system memory and an SD card. I pop in my card and there's every game I've downloaded. Real simple. It's too bad the Wii doesn't have enough built in memory to accommodate hundreds of games, but with 2 gig SD cards selling for a measily 10 bucks now, I guess it isn't really a big deal.
