I'd really like to know as well but I can't get the WiiU online to compare at the moment I think the tastes will be a little different though. I guess there's a lot of French WiiU gamers judging from how many I see on Mario Kart 8 lols

Looks like Wii Street U is this gens My Aquarium. It's strange to see 3D World so low on each chart,(it doesn't even feature on the US one) while the older Wind Waker reigns supreme in North America and France and 2nd in the UK.Tropical Freeze only featuring on the Canadian chart is a real shame,I think it's one of the finest platformers ever made and never fails to put a smile on my face.

I'm assuming because Wind Waker was a huge pack-in game since literally before it came out (and also the free Mario Kart 8 deal).

I would like to reiterate my annoyance that one of the top sellers is Pokemon Rumble U.

Wii Street U was free for a bit before it started costing money which explains that.

If you want digital in the UK it does cost significantly more. (Cost beats user experience for many people for me I get digital other than party games(At 50% or less of the price))

Well, that's disappointing to say the least. There are so many great Indie games on Wii U, yet there are games like Super Mario 64, a 20 year old game that everyone has probably played before, and Pokemon Rumble U, a bad game with a Pokemon skin, on the list.
And I agree, Wind Waker is probably so highly placed due to the bundle + the Mario Kart 8 promotion

You're surprised that Mario 64 is on that list?

What's with the Wind Waker stealing the show? Is it because the retail copy costs a lot or something?

Must be something that's true everywhere except in Japan and Australia based on these lists. I assume some of it has to do with the Mario Kart 8 promotion because we got a much, much wider variety of titles than the US did. It would also explain why Pikmin 3 has done much better digitally in the US/Canada than it has elsewhere. Copy/pasting said list....

Europe
Nintendo Land
New Super Mario Bros. U
Game & Wario
Pikmin 3
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
Sonic Lost World
Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games
Wii Party U
The Wonderful 101
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

North America
New Super Mario Bros. U
Pikmin 3
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
Wii Party U

.... although that doesn't really explain Wind Waker's success in the UK. I assume maybe that has something to do with the Wind Waker bundle (I assume it was a download code?) because that bundle wasn't very prominent in Australia. Maybe there was a really good deal or sale going on. Maybe they just had that bundle on the shelves for longer.

Yes the Wind Waker bundle did come with a download code rather than physical copy, otherwise I would've got it over a standard 32GB bundle (I was still very against digital retail games back then, didn't have a problem with digital Pikmin 3 because it was free and I had absolutely no interest in it). Looking back I should've got that one because it's the only true special edition console.

Specially the US list, that doesn't contain any non-Nintendo title except Shovel Knight (which is an over hyped retro-style title, compared to the other excellent Wii U indie titles that don't get the same hype). This certainly doesn't send good signals to 3rd party developers.

I think it has to do with the Club Nintendo deals that happened lastly. Codes exchanges went pretty viral on a lot of forums

Why are the "free" games like Zen Pinball and TANK TANK TANK not on the charts?
