Topic: Problems with BBC iPlayer on Wii U

Does anyone else in the UK have problems with this? For me, when it works, it works very well - faster and more responsive than iPlayer on my Virgin Media Tivo box, and with fewer incidents of buffering mid-programme.

However, after watching one programme I almost always have to quit the app and re-start it, as it doesn't then load the menu properly. Also, around half the times that I start it up, I get a network error message and again need to go back to the Wii U Menu to re-load it (almost always works the second time).

Are these common problems or is it just me?

I've had a lot of use out of the iPlayer on Wii U and not encountered a single problem that I can think of, seems a great app.

Only letdowns are that it doesn't support touchscreen input and you can't run another Wii U app at the same time - would be great if you could use it to watch something on tv while playing a game on the gamepad.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

Maybe it's a problem with Virgin Media. We actually had problems with their own iPlayer service in the past, though more recently it's been better.

Do you mind me asking who your service provider is?

Thanks for the post! For those who live outside UK and want to access BBC iPlayer, you can use UnoTelly as I do to get around the geo block.
