Topic: Mii characters didn't transfer?

I spent an hour or so transferring data from a wii to a wii u, and when my son tries to play Mario Kart, we can see the license with all his old game data, but it says "The Mii for this license has been deleted from the Mii channel, please select another Mii." Any idea how to open this license or retrieve this Mii?

So the Mii itself is gone from the Wii U or the game can't find it? You can probably make another Mii and use that one for the Channel data.

It looks like the Mii is gone. How do you connect a new Mii to the old channel data? Sorry, but you'll have to imagine you're explaining this to someone from another planet...I'm pretty technically UN-savvy. Thanks for the suggestion!
