@Smitherenez Along with Pahvi's advice, make sure your attack badges especially stamina fruit are maxed out. A Darknut that requires 1 hit to diminish weak point gauge is easier to dodge than a Darknut that requires 2 hits to diminish weak point gauge for example.
In the adventure missions with the don't get hit rule, remember that you don't need to kill 1200 enemies for the A rank.
Just be cautious and play safe, don't get into unnecessary fights.
For the challenge missions where everyone is killed in one hit and you need to kill X amount of officers, just use the bow (or, in the case items are not allowed, other ranged attacks).
Other good options for both missions are the water wall fairy skill, or Sheik. Sheik's serenade of water has the same effect as water wall.
Water wall allows you to take some hits without receiving damage. And it is not affected by the damage rule, it will last like it would in a normal mission.
In both styles of mission, it's important to move constantly and dodge dodge dodge all the time when you're agaisnt a big enemy.
Thanks for the advice! The 'all hits are devastating' missions are easy enough. But these ones are a pain to A rank. Maybe I should play more patiently then.
The dlc has been out in Japan for a bit. Here's what Linkles and Marins weapon tiers look like (in text format):
Linkle, Boots:
Level 1: brown boots with yellow/green feathers.
Level 2: gray suit of armor/full metal iron boots with blue feathers.
Level 3: Red boots with golden details and white feathers.
Marin:
Level 1: The same bell from Links Awakening artwork.
Level 2: blue bell with sea motif and a seagull at the handle.
Level 3: red and gold bell designed like a stylized hibiscus bud.
Legends Character Pack - five new Characters (Toon Link, Tetra, King of Hyrule, Horror Kid, Linkle) and a weapon for 12€
and the Legends of Hyrule Set for 10€ (4 new characters, 2 new weapons):
this includes 3 packs that would normally cost 15€ combined (5€ each):
Link's Awakening Pack - 1 new character (Marin), 1 new weapon (out now)
Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks Pack - 1 new character, 1 new weapon (available in fall)
A Link Between Worlds Pack - 2 new characters (available in winter)
the dlc is slowly moving from Mario Kart 8 into Smash Bros. territory.
I'm still excited about those new characters but it's a shame that we don't get the Wind Waker Pack and the maps.
Downloading the base game for 50€, The 2 season passes for 25€, the character pack for 12€, and maybe the costume packs for 4€ and its 91€!
Can you unlock limited character/weapon stages for all characters in Adventure Mode maps by completing the maps 100%? If not what's the point of only adding characters on the Wii U version since most of the best stages for weapons and XP are character and weapon exclusive ones...
@Grumblevolcano Any tips for earning Rupees to train some of your less used characters for the harder maps? I really can't spend 50+ hours leveling each character to level 100+ to take on the Twilight and Termina maps. xD
Needing to work on base game maps has been made apparent on the Koholint Map. I tried the Tetra Level 4+ weapon stage and it was brutal with only having her level 2 weapon (got B rank for both damage and time, time being the bigger issue).
