There's nothing wrong with being happy a game that is really good is selling well. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.

I think Rev3Games had a excellent review on the game.

My local target is sold out of the game and had one bundle yesterday. Two people at the electronics counter asking if it was in stock. No luck for them, good thing I pre-ordered.

I bought it yesterday here in mexico and the guy at the store told me there were only 6 walk-ins and 100 preorders.

I didnt saw the bundle so idk if they sould out (probably not, it was 12 pm and they open at 11 am lol).

Havent checked any retail stores, but I peeked at a few online stores. Some of them still had them in stock, but the one I use was all sold out, and had over 20 orders for both the normal game and Limited Edition.

This is good news, as Nintendo is not very strong brand in Finland.

I got off work a couple hours early yesterday and went to Best Buy to pick up my copy. There were at least twenty other copies sitting on the pick-up shelf and three bundles. I don't know how many were picked up before I showed up as I didn't ask, but things were looking good.

At GameStop, when I picked it up yesterday, 3 out of 7 people in front of me got it. They had about 20 copies behind the counter on display.

Mario Kart DS moved 200k in the first week with an install base of 9mill
Mario Kart Wii moved 1mill with 24mill
Mario Kart 7 moved 700k with 9mill

Wii U has an install base of just over 6mill which while small comparatively is still a large fraction of what previous Mario Kart releases have had. Combine that with the fact that Mario Kart 8 is one of Wii U's first real system seller. Why is anyone surprised? Don't be too shocked if it breaks 1mill in the first week.

I didn't even notice it in the stores, and I just went to the mall this afternoon. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Will check once I get tot work but I almost forgot the game came out yesterday. Don't think we got any bundles since we have leftover zelda and Mario bundles.

For those asking the game probably won't chart on the NPD since it came put to late to really calculate the sales. I'm guessing its going to chart high for June.

I think people are happy bc of the abuse nintendo has taken in the media. while nintendo has its faults, the Wii u is a cool sytem with some great games. second, some are concerned that nintendo will become irrelevant in the console world if sales don't improve.

I got mine at Walmart,there was only 4 left in stock. Got it just in time

When I was getting my copy in EBgames, there were a few guys hebind who's hand were holding printed receipts. Out of curiosity I turned back and asked them "Mario Kart 8?" They all replied "That's right! We're getting the bundle. You?". I was shocked lol. Never in my life I've seen people getting Wii Us in Ebgames (well except the time where a father bought it for his kid but that's another story), let alone a few of them at once.

It seems like Mario Kart 8 really is the system seller Nintendo hoped it to be.

My local indie retailer (Game Dojo in Lytham St Anne's) sold out of their first shipment today and are expecting another today.

So far seems to be doing well. I've been enjoying my copy since picking it up. Just unlocked Leaf Cup.

At the retailer I bought MK8 from the Mario Kart bundle has been sold out since yesterday, as well as the NSMBU bundle. The regular Premium bundle is still available though.

Edit: And yes, the game itself is sold out. Good thing I grabbed my copy early.

INTERESTING... so Watch Dogs won't be on the NPD either until June?
