Any good games to get on the US Eshop before it closes? I'm mainly looking for games that are either expensive physically ($30+ and the Eshop version is cheaper) or are not on consoles that I have. Or games that use a password system or have infinite continues so I can use the Wii U's Virtual Console features to save progress easier. And probably no DS games since I got Fire Emblem and it's very hard for me to find a good screen setup that I'm comfortable with.
Nintendo consoles I have that are on virtual console
SNES
N64
Wii U (plays Wii games too of course)
GBA (plays GB and GBC also)
DS
3DS
I'm open to suggestions, but mainly like Racing, Platformer, Action/Adventure (not just pure adventure), FPS, RPG (Action prefered, but JRPGs can be good too). I don't like games that are pure puzzles or pure adventure games, although I do like these elements in my games. Fighting games can be okay if they have a good amount of single player content and are easy to learn, but I won't have many people to play with and I have a hard time picking up combos.
EDIT: Added in the 3DS side of things as well in my console list
For action adventure games, you can't go wrong with the Metroid Prime Trilogy ($20 on WiiU; ultra expensive for physical Wii copies). Pandora's Tower is a great ARPG but be warned, there are some gory horror elements in relation to the story (also $20 on WiiU).

I already have the steelbook of Prime Trilogy on Wii, but still a great game. I was looking into Pandora's Tower a bit already. Will probably have to check it out a bit more. Also, as for the horror elements, is it all just gore? If so I should be fine.
I already have Yokai Watch 1, and couldn't get into it, although it's a game I've been meaning to try again at some point. I think the auto battle system might have thrown me off a bit. Are 2 or 3 better? And is there a reason to buy them from the Eshop instead of a cart?
@HeavyMetalWario64DS Star Fox Guard and Star Fox Zero are very different games. Guard is like a tower defense game mixed with Five Nights At Freddys. Guard was a lot better game than Zero too and is unlikely to ever get a port due to how it uses the gamepad.

I'm not a big fan of tower defense, but I might check it out if there's a demo or something.
@jump YES! Somebody finally acknowledges how much of a banger Star Fox Guard is. It's a fantastic and unique tower defense game that I would love to see again.

It's mostly stuff like body horror and light gore (feeding the flesh of dead boss monsters to a character). But it's a great game. It's like Legend of Zelda mixed with a bit of Dead Space and Astral Chain.

I do like Zelda, although I've never played Dead Space or Astral Chain. I've seen Astral Chain in action before though and it looked cool. Might have to check this out.
Well I'll say DO NOT BUY bit trip saga. What a rip off.ππππππππ
But do buy sonic generations and sonic boom buy any of the sonic games on 3DS . they are totally different from previous sonic releases years ago. Definitely buy themπππππππππππ
@HeavyMetalWario64DS Well, it'll be too bad when eShop closes.
Yokai Watch 3 got a barely existent physical release. Thanks Nintendo, you're such a cheap*** company sometimes it blows my mind you even bothered to fire up the cart manufacturing machine to print like two copies for every GameStop store or whatever stupidly low figure you did, just so the scalpers could buy them out and make it utterly pointless.
I was hoping to play it at some point but I'm guess I'll have to be content with the Japanese lore being what I will understand when I get to that point.
At least Japan got print runs of the game large enough to justify their existence.

I do have Sonic Generations on both 3DS as well as X360, and I also have Sonic Lost World on Wii U and 3DS. And I'm surprised to hear Boom recommended. I've been hearing that it's almost as bad as Sonic 06. What things do you like about it?
The Magic Hammer is a fun little game I like that most people might overlook. Itβs exclusive to the 3DS eShop as far as I know.
Puzzler World XL is a DSiWare I recommend. Itβs got a ridiculous amount of word search, crosswords, sudoku, link a pix, and many other activities. Like way over a thousand in total, itβs amazing considering itβs a mid-tier DSiWare title. And you get to spin a colorful wheel to collect hint coins, whatβs not to like.
@KingMike I regret not preordering Yo-Kai Watch 3. I had no clue it would have such a limited print run and erroneously assumed it would be as widely available as previous series entries. I'd love to import a copy, but region locking is unfortunately a thing....
