WiiU will be fine once new MarioKart is released. Plenty of people will buy a WiiU for it and then go back and get the Mario games for software boosts.
I considered buying a second once, because the price was $180 at Target once, and it would mean I can get a second Gamepa (Currently my first one has a somewhat annoying scratch). I regretted not buying it, but if these sales continue to go low, perhaps it will go back on that sale. Not that I want it to go low, but at least there's somewhat of a benefit for me if it does.
I thought about buying a 2nd when the Skylanders bundle went down to about $225. My kids play on mine alot so I suppose it wouldn't be so much a 2nd one for me as for my kids and wife for Wi Fit U. But then I couldn't think of any games that would benefit from having 2 Wii U in the house. (Sports Club is only about half a game.) I join the kids in SMW3d, Lego Marvel and Skylanders Swap Force but as far as I can tell none have online play. Maybe if both MK8 and SSB have online the kids can yell and scream and jump around in the living room and I can hide in my bedroom. How much lag can there be if were wired to the same router?

If your a Nintendo fan, buy the Wii U first, and if your a smart Nintendo fan, use that extra money afterwards for a PS4 / Xbox One / PC. No need to buy the same console twice, the Wii U is good, not great.
I actually will down the road. I have a massive collection of VC games still fermenting on my launch Wii. Someday I will transfer them over to a second Wii U, put it in my office/den, and christen it as my sacred VC console. It's gonna be good.
I already did..... Bought a regular Wii U in April then bought another one (Wind Waker bundle) for when I go to my GF's. I thought about using that money for a PS4 but already have a lot of games for the Wii U and would have to start over as far as games go- there's just not that many that I want to play on PS4 other than Madden. At that, I've heard that it's not all that better, if any better than 2013. I'll get a Ps4 in about two years.

That's what I did. I bought the Wii U first then bought a PS4.

Has anyone ever tried registering two WiiU's to same ClubNIntendo account?
I believe that you can register multiple pieces of the same hardware and get coins for every one that you register. The same is not true of software however.

If I bought a second Wii U the best use for it would be to give it to the raccoon living inside my garbage can. Other than that, I can't understand why I would need to buy another one.
