Does anyone know of a US retailer where you can buy these? Specifically looking for the GC2WIU-14. This is the revised black model that has the mode switch to go between Wii Classic Controller and Wii U Pro Controller modes (An all in one wireless Wii/Wii U controller; the earlier model was only a wireless Classic Controller substitute).
Please note: that our current model is compatible with Wii Classic Games, the next generation model (coming soon) will be compatible with Wii U Pro games
This might be outdated, but it seems to indicate right now that this isn't compatible with Wii U games.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
There are scattered reports that their revision has reached the hands of consumers (Reviews on Amazon UK come to mind). The problem is actually locating these for sale and being able to identify if it's the revision or not.
What about the new one? Kinda tee's me off, usually third party controllers are just about perfect, but they pretty much always manage to screw up the d-pad.
Something I noticed: I tried to launch Mario 64 in Wii mode on my Wii U and play it with the old GC-2 model (12)... and it refused to start, saying I had to plug in a classic controller. Secret of Mana (SNES) launched just fine. (I also redownloaded Mario 64 just to check that it wasn't only an old version of it.)
EDIT: But Sin & Punishment 1 (N64) worked. Wat.
So what do you think of the controller so far, do you recommend it?, and have a link?, I might ship a copy stateside.
