So I just check on the European eShop and:

  • Pikmin 3 is at 50€ (€49,99)
  • The Wonderful 101 is at 50€ (€49,99)

I plan on checking Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U, as well as Game & Wario (which should be 40) and LEGO City Undercover, but... I didn't expected that. I have always seen my Nintendo home console games at 60€ at retail — at least since the Gamecube — and this is great news. Is this somehow also the case in other currencies and other territories?

Pikmin 3 is still $60

Where I live, they sell Pikmin 3, NSMBU, Nintendo Land and Wonderful 101 for 40€. I guess I'm lucky?

3#: Team Fortress 2

Well, if they're dropping prices over in Europe, it becomes even more enticing over there. All I read about is Europe slashing prices and removing Wii U's from stores, etc. And this may be another way to stop that over there.

Yep. The most important advantage I see in this is that now, at full prices, it is possible to consider a Wii U with Nintendo Land and another major 1st party game (Pikmin 3 or The Wonderful 101 so far) for 400 € max. That's A LOT better than the previous psychological hurdle of 410, which meant "for more than 400."

(But then again, I got NSMBU with my Deluxe Wii U for 1€ more, so you won't see me rage.)
