Topic: Can I use a wii motion plus controller to play wii games on my wii u?

I've been wanting to play some old wii games on my wii u but my old wii remote doesn't work and I was wandering if a wii motion plus controller could work with old wii games on wii u.

Yes you can, it just won't use the motion plus function unless it's a game that uses it. It should work like any regular Wii remote.

Any functional Wii Remote paired with the Wii U should work. I've used my Wii Remote+ with mine without any issues.
