Topic: Looking for a dark-themed NES platformer where you play as a knight?

Hey, I'm looking for a NES game, but I can't remember its name.

Here's what I know about it:

• You play as a knight with golden armor (I think) and a sword, I believe
• It's a platformer, all you do is pretty much go from left to right in one line, fighting bad guys and occasionally jumping
• The character was pretty big-looking, probably a bit bigger than the Castlevania main character
• The game had a dark setting in general
• There was a segment in which you are in a dark forest (could be the beginning)
• There was a segment in which you are in a castle (I think this is a bit later into the game)

Sadly that's all I remember.

It's not Castlevania/Ghosts n Goblins.

Any help is appreciated.

Just a guess, but Sword Master kind of sounds like what you are describing.
