For those unaware, Toby Fox is the guy who made Undertale.
The game is currently incomplete, but free. Like with Undertale, I cannot say much, in fear of spoiling.

Hope you all enjoy the game!
I got the demo sitting on my desktop if my willpower runs out, but I spent the better part of 2016 playing incomplete indie RPGs...I don't want to come near this until the developer has considered it "finished"...
@CanisWolfred To be honest what's currently out can be considered a complete story. It's roughly around 2-3 hours long and is it's own entire story, even though irs considered chapter 1, with an open ended conclusion to hint at what might come next. I'd recommend trying it out, especially if you played Undertale and enjoyed it. I thought it was even better than Undertale and I loved that game.
I loved it. It was basically an entire new game, almost the same size and scope as Undertale. Plus, it was refined in basically every way gameplaywise. Which, was vastly needed of course, but still. I can't defeat the secret boss though, but I've been having fun trying.
@CanisWolfred I wouldn't easily dismiss it as a typical demo just because it has the "Chapter 1" label. If anything you could consider this to be a full game with what comes after as Deltarune 2. You could play through all of chapter 1, never play the "full" version of the game, and still feel like you've completed a full game.
If you don't want to play it, that's fine. I just wanted to let you know it's not a typical demo. It's similar to what Torna: The Golden Country is to Xenoblade 2.

And I didn't buy Xenoblade 2 until The Golden Country came out. Is it content complete or is there still more to be added to it in the future? Toby says it's the latter, so I'll wait until it's done. Like I said, I burnt myself out on incomplete games. I'm not doing it ever again.

I actually entirely understand this, as I remember the era of freeware RPG Maker games. If it was good, it was probably never gonna be complete.
Is it okay to play this if I have not played Undertale yet? The trailer says that it is for those who have already played Undertale, and I don't want to ruin any of the story or anything by playing this first because I do plan on getting around to Undertale eventually.
@Xyphon22 Deltarune is set in an alternate universe and has a separate story, so you can play it before playing Undertale if you want. However, I'd recommend playing Undertale first because there's a reveal near the end of Deltarune chapter 1 that makes more sense if you've played Undertale. Also, Deltarune has an improved battle system so if you play it first then Undertale's battle system might not seem as good in comparison.
OK, thanks. Think I'll hold off then, especially reading the rest of this thread that it is basically a full game rather than a short demo. I would definitely want to play the first game first in this situation. Thanks.
