The bad reviews for Operation Raccoon City hasn't stopped it from selling. I was at my local Walmart today and they were sold out of the PS3 version.

@Slapshot: Just read your review on Ninja Gaiden III, dang! Oh well, I will be passing on that one now. They should make a Sigma and correct their egregious errors though!

@Ryno Yeah man, it was actually quite hard to write that review. Ninja Gaiden is the series that got me into gaming as a hobby back in the mid-80s and to see the franchise crippled so severely is very hard to swallow. Still, I put my emotions aside and wrote the review balanced, but yet, also with a strong warning to the core Ninja Gaiden fans — like myself — who spent $60 of their hard-earned money on the game, regardless of low review scores. I did expect it to not be great, considering that they refused to send out a review copy, but I had no idea it would be quite as bad as it was.

On better news. If you guys love gaming — stupid comment, but here for a reason — then you have to check this out if you're using Google Chrome: (paste to browser)

Started Enslaved while I wait for Kingdoms of Amalur to come in the mail, and very much enjoying it.

A sigma wouldn't fix the game since this was there intent. This was the game that the shareholders and the new corrector wanted to make sadly. Hopefully dead or alive is good. Yeah post igataki team ninjas has been petty bad so far. Crape like that vita port wouldn't have went down with him at the regins.

@shingi_70 I have to disagree with one thing. The Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus port for PS Vita is actually really well done and I've been enjoying the heck out having it on a portable. The action runs flawlessly and all the annoying extras can be turned off in the main menu options. I gave the game a 8/10 for Push Square, mostly because I felt that the camera should have been tweaked a bit in the process, otherwise it'd have gotten a 9/10.

But yeah, a Ninja Gaiden Sigma III can't fix the problems with the game. The entire game has been stripped of it's core elements because of Hayashi's new ideas for Team Ninja. If you already don't know: he doesn't like the the sex appeal in their games and has severely stripped it down and he doesn't like that Team Ninja has a niche audience and feels that their hardcore games should appeal to all types of gamers. We see the end result and we also see the sales results. While Tecmo Koei's Omega Studios' is killing it with awesome Dynasty Warriors titles (e.g. DW: Next and DW: Seven), Team Ninja and Hayashi don't vibe well together at all. After putting some time in with Dead or Alive 5, it's good, but it also falls into an overly-cinematic category just like Ninja Gaiden III. It's too easy to land big cinematic moves and it doesn't feel fluid when the action halt for you to select what you want to bash your opponent into, instead of just performing the move. Just like in Ninja Gaiden III, you can press one-button and obliterate you opponents. The overall reception I've seen so far, well, it hasn't been too great, and I understand why.

I noticed that I'm the videos of doa5. It seems they were inspire by mortal komabt but added two many envioerment scenes that it ruins gameplay.

By the vita game I meant igataki didn't Like the psp or vita. He said in aninterview he didn't like that's it was trying to be a portal le console instead of its own thing and that's why dragon sword was for ds and the more console like psp didn't get a ninjas gaiden game.

I'm about 13 chapters in to Enslaved and I think it's pretty good for the most part. The characters are great and the combat, graphics and cut sceans are good but I'm getting a little tired of jumping and climbing stuff.

Part of that has to do with me playing the heck out of Uncharted 2 lately and just being burnt out on doing said climbing. Enslaved really does feel like a poor mans Uncharted which is in no way a bad thing.

Glad you're liking it though. It does have many elements that are similar to Uncharted, but just like that series (which I'm tired of the climbing/jumping mechanics in myself) it doesn't overstay its welcome. The ending is fantastic and it's a great title that's far too overlooked.

@shingi_70 I don't worship Itagaki like some do, so I don't get into the nit picky, but I personally don't feel that Hayashi was a good fit for Team Ninja. I think he's a great leader, seeing how he managed to get the changes he wanted done, but I think he's not in the position that he needs to be in. I think he'd do better at another studio elsewhere. As for Itagaki, I am looking forward to seeing what he comes up with next though.

Great to hear!!! My wife has been up sick all night and I've got to take her to see a specialist today for it, but I'm hoping to get to try it out. My extra funds are a little dry at the moment, but I'm definitely going to be putting it on my rental list for sure. I'm a huge fan of the genre and I'm really glad to see that it's turned out well!!!

@Slapshot - I just beat Enslaved the end was pretty good as you said. I'm not very good aiming with the staff so it was a bit frustrating but was still fun. The melee combat was a blast through out the whole game.

The game can be had for under $15 on Amazon and it's a steal at that price.

So other than Journey (which I hear is so good that it could single handedly solve all the problems in the middle east) how PSN doing. I really never hear that much about it and it doesn't seem like sony invests in it or talks about it as much as Steam or XBLA. Can only think of a few games from the service .

Journey
Flower
Pixeljunk series
Fat princess
dust 514
echochrome
flow

Which kind of sucks because PSN has some amazing experiences.

The only PSN game I have is Outland which is a great game. It seems every time I get a PSN card I end up getting a full PS3 game or just get some DLC.

That said I'm very interested in Dust 514 and Bit Trip Runner 2.

Does anyone happen to know if Rock of Ages is available on PSN or coming soon? I have the game on Steam but my current laptop lags like hell when it runs it.

Are you kidding me? I guess it depends on what news sites etc you follow because I hear more about PSN than either XBLA or Steam. I personally have 100 or so games from the service.

And yes, Rock of Ages is coming to PSN
