@1UP_MARIO Well that’s according to this. It’s also on the Cancelled Games Wiki, but I haven’t really heard of it elsewhere. There was a cancelled sequel called Super Mario 128 that was mostly just a test for the GameCube. This one had a Wikipedia page, so it’s completely official.
Interestingly, when you look up ‘Super Mario 64 2’, the top result is Super Mario Galaxy.

Mario Sunshine is the worst of the 3D Marios, so its honestly one I want to see a sequel for. It's easy for me to imagine the current Mario team making a better Mario Sunshine than Mario Sunshine tbh.
And maybe this is cheating - but a modern take on the gameboy donkey Kong game or a warioland would be good. If the remasters are really coming, I’d rather see concepts that haven’t been around for a while.
What game would you like to have on Switch? Super Mario Galaxy 3, Super Mario Sunshine 2 or Super Mario 64 2? Any other Mario games that deserve a sequel? Why? Would it be on Switch or next gen? What would it be?
Super Mario 64 remake and a Super Mario 64 sequel. A Super Mario Sunshine remake is needed too, at least a remaster, to up the resolution and to iron out the gameplay but it doesn't need a sequel because it's a vacation spin-off, sort of.
@BabyYoshi12 That's right, I forgot about "New Super Mario. Bros. U DX + New Super Luigi U DX UHD for Nintendo Switch".
@Eel I wanted Switch to be called Wii U 2, as We You Too and an ever sillier name than Wii (We) and Wii (We) U (You). Seriously, this was explained by Nintendo when Wii U was presented.
