Looks like we have this year's best rpg / GotY contender. Currently the highest rated release of the year. Lets go ahead and add it to the list of hopeful Switch 2 ports. Seems as though the turn-based rpg genre isn't ready to be taken out back just yet.

Absolutely hyped about this one, can't wait to play it tomorrow on Game Pass! Probably gonna double dip if they release a Switch 2 version.

2 million copies sold in less than two weeks and still rolling.

Nice to see.

It’s an absolute incredible game. I’m near the end and the game continues to surprise me at every turn. I’d love to see this and Metaphor get a Switch 2 release.

Absolutely amazing. In my eyes it stands very close to, if not above, Grandias.

A friend of mine is playing on Deck, says it runs pretty decently after some tinkering... gives me hope for a S2 port

It's the best game I've played in 2025. It's all the good things about final fantasy, and even paper mario. It's like one big mash up and I love it. Playing on xbox.

@CJD87 I know it’s not necessarily equivalent to the Steam Deck, but I’ve been playing on the PS Portal and it runs flawlessly.

@NintendoByNature I agree with all that you said. I also think it blends a bit of Persona, Nier, and Dark Souls, and creates its own identity. It’s the best game of 2025 so far.

@Kraven exactly, using free aim with your firearms to hit weak points, playing around with pictos and skills for optimal damage, the characters and story, the music, etc. I could really go on for days. The fact that they sold 2mil copies when it's also on gamepass is music to my ears. I didn't buy it myself because I'm playing on gamepass, but I'm just glad it's a huge success.

@Kraven I'm still hopeful also for Larian to work some magic and port BG3 to Switch2.

I actually played BG3 exclusively on SDeck, and it was definitely 'playable' enough to be enjoyable (albeit of course not the ideal way to play). Larian's port of Divinity 2 on Switch1 was very serviceable indeed, and I'd love think that they could do the same in bringing BG3 to Switch2. Also - the mouse mode would be infinitely better in terms of playing BG3, and much less clunky than playing with a standard controller and/or in conventional handheld.

BG3 is I still think 'Game of the Generation' - well up there with BOTW, CP2077, RDR2, Elden Ring etc
