Not saying these are leaks but if these were actually announced, would you be sold?

Super Mario NX, Pac-Man World 4, Klonoa 3, Sonic Adventure 3, Mega Man 3D, Zelda NX, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo NX.

Not really. I don't know what Super Mario NX is, could be another New Super Mario Bros or just a remake of a Super Mario game. Pac-Man World 4, Klonoa 3, Sonic Adventure 3, Mega Man 3D don't interest me much. Mega Man would be the most interesting but in 3D? Not sure if that would be good. I am guessing Zelda and Smash would be ports, which would beg the question, why? I would already have those on my Wii U. This would be a terrible launch line-up in my opinion, unless actual gameplay for these games look very impressive. (most things depend on actual gameplay being impressive, these titles really don't sound like there would be impressive gameplay)

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

What if I said Mario NX is practically SM64 to with a story akin to the RPG games?

...Smash NX is a port with more stuff added, of course. (( Plus more ballot winners. ))

@Mario123311: Yeah, still not thrilling me. When was the last time Pac-Man, Sonic, or Mega Man were good? Has Klonoa ever been popular enough to push sales during launch? Zelda port and Smash port, even with extra content, feels kinda pointless. I already have a Wii U, and can enjoy those games minus a few characters just fine. A new 3D Mario game could be fun but not enough to make me purchase a new console for. Where are the action games? Where are the strategy games? Why are there so many platformers? (A question that normally comes up when talking about Wii U)

I need more than a couple of dead IP and Wii U ports to get excited about a system, again unless the gameplay is actually very impressive.

I'd like Super Mario NX to be a little bit more unique, and I don't trust SA3 to be good. Count me out.

The NX section of this forum is kinda flooded with threads that I don't understand how it is a thread. lol

@Mario123311: YES.

...honestly, yes.

Even just for Zelda. If it is a dual release, I'm getting it on the NX and retiring my Wii U. It was a good run, but as soon as the NX comes out I'm puttin' the old girl down.

Small FYI, DefHalen. He's not saying that this would ALL the system launches with, just a few. Also, if Klonoa can gain popularity thanks to the Virtual Console releases of Empire of Dreams and Dream Champ Tournament (if Miiverse is anything to go by. In fact, I recall seeing one on the EOD board that said something like, "See, Namco, people love Klonoa. Appeal wasn't the problem, it was the advertising", or something), then that series can probably help push out sales for a system at launch.

Not going to lie, that's a weak AF launch line-up.

I've never brought a system with less than three games available or known to be coming soon that I'm hyped about. Usually there are four with an assumption that more will come out soon. For example when I got the Wii at launch I knew I could get Twilight Princess and Wii Sports at launch. However I also knew that Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 were coming in the first year.

The list you've posted here? Of the 7 games there are 4 that would likely be pretty average. There are 2 that I can already get on my Wii U, one of which I already have on both my Wii U and 3DS. Which leaves Mario. Is Mario by itself enough to convince me to buy some new hardware at launch? .... maybe. But only if it looked amazing and there was other stuff on the immediate horizon.

For example if the launch lineup in November was that but month or so later Pikmin 4 came out? Then at the same time we had been shown a trailer for something like Splatoon 2 or Metroid Prime 4 for the next year? Something that suggested some kind of medium to long term support. Then sure, why not.

@Operationgamer17: These are the only games that I am given to choose if I am getting a NX. So it doesn't really matter in this hypothetical situation if there are other games, if I don't know about them.

The hardware and the quality of the games available will be what determines my decision. Titles are next to meaningless to me unless it accompanies a quality game. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, not in the name. 'Trifle' is a rubbish name, I'd never pre-order a trifle if I only knew its name, but let me get a taste of that creamy, custardy, spongy, jelly-y goodness and I'm a lifelong convert.

Contrary to what some people want, I do want Nintendo to innovate. If they're just going to release a generic piece of hardware to play the latest round of games, I won't be buying early. I have a massive Wii U library (i.e. backlog mostly) that needs some love, so only something excitingly innovative is going to tempt me in launch year.

But with reference to OPs list of titles anyway... there's too many platformy-type games in that list for my liking. I'd want an exciting racer, a new IP or 3, and probably a football game.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

If that was all, meh. I'd rather just get Zelda for the Wii U and wait.

Metroid or 3D Mario is the only thing to get me to buy an NX. That, and it needs to be at a good price point. I already have a PS4, if it's going to have the same 3rd party library as the PS4, then it's going to be a harder sell for me.

Check out my YouTube channel if you love gaming, and Nintendo (especially Metroid) I think you'll enjoy my videos. :)
