Topic: Wired controller not being detected by my Switch

I recently bought a bluetooth/wired usb controller for switch from FR.TEC and basically my switch doesnt detect the controller even when it's connected via usb on the DOCK. The leds just flash red quickly when I press the home button. Can anyone give me a heads up on how I can fix this?

Are you sure this is a compatible Switch 3rd party controller? I am not familiar with FR. TEC. You cannot use any random 3rd party controller with a USB.

It is also possible you need to plug the controller into a computer to update it's internal firmware.

@Heavyarms55 Heya thanks for the reply. Yes I am sure. I bought it at the Fnac on the Nintendo Switch Shelf and the box it came in said it was specifically for nintendo switch.

@jupiwolf Check to see if the controller itself needs an update then. You may need to go to the manufacturer's website to download an update for it.
