Hey. I have two questions as regards to nintendo switch online.
1. If i have one individual nintendo switch online membership activated on my first account on my switch, will that be the only account I'll be able to play online with on that switch?
2. Will I be able to play online split screen mario kart 8 deluxe for nintendo switch if I have a friend that comes to visit me with one individual membership of nintendo switch online?
1) That’s correct. A sub is account specific. If you had a family sub, it could cover multiple accounts, managed by your family account settings
2) I don’t know for sure, a detail like that hasn’t been addressed. But (this is a guess) since 1 is true , 2 should be the same answer

1. Yes, but if you have multiple accounts on your Switch (other people, not multiple accounts owned by you), you can buy a family membership that allows up to 8 accounts, it's £31.49/$34.99. People could split the cost this way which is super cool.
2. Do you mean 2 players on the same Switch playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online multiplayer? Yeah, you should be able to, I don't see why not.
There's a lot of unknowns regarding the paid online service, we don't even know for sure whether split screen online for MK8 Deluxe with a "guest" account will be available after it goes live. We already know MK8 Deluxe is getting an update sometime after September 14th because of Labo Vehicle Kit support, other stuff may come at the same time.
@Kriztian It seems likely that if the second player is a guest, rather than another account, it should be fine. But like others have said, I don't believe this detail has been addressed yet.
Edit: From now on, please use the main NSO thread for such questions and discussion:
