Topic: Will I be able to update my EU Cart game on US?

So there is a store here for Witcher 3, and it only sell EU carts sadly, and I only have US account. Will I be able to update the game to 3.6 or the latest ones on my US account with the EU Cart? Thank you all in advance!

@ActuallyRyu Updating software will always work completely fine as you do that from the home menu without needing to sign into the eShop or anything so you'll be fine. It's only when you want to download DLC from the eShop that the region sometimes matters.

@ActuallyRyu Updates will be fine. You simply need an internet connection. Just press the + button and check for updates from the home menu. But DLC is case by case. Luckily you can always open another account if you need to.

The exception might be if you have a game that was not released in your region. I can't confirm that.

@ActuallyRyu The beauty with the Switch is nothing is region-locked this time. All carts from anywhere can be used on any Switch console. Enjoy! So, yeah, it will update fine

If cart space was limited, some carts that were released in asia didn't put english on the cart, but you can still go on eshop and download the english language pack. I think that's how it works. The short story is, you can still download the english language pack, if english was supported.

Thanks for the info, i have the same question like the threadstarter... after buying an EU just dance (as I’m using US acct) and not being able to use the free subscription... i’m now very picky in buying physical games, i want to make sure it is always the same region with my acct. but didn’t realize that software updates are not considered DLC, so that makes it safe i guess...
